She said she would not be attached to a ship. She is studying meterology and her rank is AG or AN. I am quite confused by all of this. Still learning alot. She just went in June 3rd.

Since Katie has been over on the Essex she has gone twice to Yokuska for more training. Right now they are out to see doing maneuvers with the Japanese navy.

Good Morning Carolina Tarheel,

I just saw your post to me on the Carolina Mom's group. I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I am so excited for you. PIR this Friday! Yeah! When will you be leaving?
You asked about my son's A school. He is in Meridian, MS. Your daughter is going into Meteorology? That is so neat because my son has a great interest in Meteorology. At the time he was signing up they didn't have anything open for that field so he is in A school for Aviation Administration.
Did your daughter complete battle stations? Let me know.
Happy for you!

My son is DIV 265-if you hear anything from your daughter can you type and talk? LOL! I just want to hear SOMETHING soon! I felt for you today-it has been so hard for me to concentrate yesterday and today that I took comp time and left early today! I am a nurse, too, but I teach.I have 2 online classes this quarter so I have to sit a lot at my computer-that was torture-just sitting and waiting for that phone to ring!

hey, I stumbled across your post re: getting cell phones and computers. What we did for our son who went "across the street" for A school, we took his phone and xbox and some clothes and got an inexpensive storage unit. He was able to use his cell when he was with us his PIR w/end and he bought a computer that w/end as well. We were not able to stay until he "crossed over" so when he got settled in, he took a cab and picked up his computer and cell phone almost immediately and then took his time with the other stuff. It saved us shipping the stuff since we took Southwest and could just take it with us. I hope this info helps. If you want to pass it on to your PIR group, feel free. There's a storage place just behind Flannagans, here's the web site: http://www.ustoreit.com/. Have a great time at PIR!

I'll ask my daughter in my next letter to her. She has mentioned making a couple of friends, but didn't give names.
