OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, "Bri," and welcome to Indiana Moms! I'm the administrator for the group, so if you have any questions, please ask. My son is a Nuke MM serving on the submarine USS Alabama, based out of Bangor, WA -- so you can also find me at Submarine Moms.  He's been in for 4-1/2 years.

Jump in with any questions or comments you may have. I think you'll find we're a nice bunch of folks and always willing to lend an ear for listening or a shoulder to cry on. Hugs! k.
