mom, its boatie.. i really enjoyed your daughter. she is such a beautiful person and i miss her to death. i lived with her for almost a year, and i depended on her for so many things.. it was hard to say goodbye. congrats on the soon to be little one! ash should get orders soon.. my guess is washington.
Hi Brandi, I got to meet your gal and had lunch with her! They were too bashfull for many pictures, so I'm afraid I didn't get many - but I did get to give her a hug for you! The base is beautiful and the weather cooperated some. I am ready to go back and soon!
Hi Bradi, I'm sorry you went there either, but there will be other get togethers and one of them will work for you. How is Ashley doing? Is she at Pensacola? the Navy is increasing sailors at Key West. Does she know where she is going after training? Karen GWS CO
Hi Brandi,
I think we have something in common - as a matter of fact, I am looking forward to meeting your sailor this weekend! The girls told me how I could find you here. My sailor happens to be your sailor's room mate!
Nice to meet you!
Brandi,
I have been so busy since the holidays. I just wanted to say Hello. I hope you enjoyed your visit with Ashley. We had a blast. When does Ashley graduate from A school? I love your new pics.
I know we are counting down the days to pick them up at the airport, but once we get them home we wont be. Enjoy your time with Ashley and make sure you tell her I said Thank you. I think she is amazing. She aounds amazing. :)
Rusty is counting down the days too. He told me yesterday that he was told none of them had the hardest job in the Navy, that the hardest job in the Navy is being family. He sent me a text message and told me Thanks for supporting him and having the hardest job. I hope the weather is kind to you too. We have had rain, cold rain for the last 2 days, Rusty said they have 1 ft of snow. He said he was so tired of snow. Go to back to work. Talk to you soon.
I am so excited we get to see our sailors. It has been colder than usual in Gallatin, We have had some 20 degree weather. No snow just cold. Talk to you soon.
I hate Ashley didnt get to eat Thanksgiving Dinner. I talk to Rusty a couple times on Thanksgiving he had on base liberty. He said he woke up a little late and went to lunch. Then him and room mate took a nap and they slept through Thanksgiving Dinner. When they got up it was over. I couldnt help but to laugh at him, but atleast he got to watch football. When is Ashley coming home? How is the weather in Colorado?
Hey Brandi- Rusty got his cell phone too. We have been texting alot. It sure does make it easier. He will start A-school next week. He is training to be a Corpsman / Medic. We just found out he will be coming home for Christmas. I'm so excited. Glad to hear that Ashley got her cell phone and is coming home for Christmas. I bet Colorado is so beautiful. My Incle moved there a few years ago. He is always emailing me pictures. I am hoping to go visit someday. I hope youu have a wonderful Thanksgiving. It is noce hearing from you.
Dear Brandi,
I'm holding up pretty good. I have only gotten teary eyed at the airport. It was a fast Goodbye, she almost missed the flight!!
You have your hands full, 18 months old!!! UGH!!! Don't miss those days!! From the time they learn to walk, until around three, those are difficult times with a baby!! When mine were small, I put a harness on them. Do you know how many times I was threatended with child welfare!!! These idiots, I said to them, I'd rather the tottler walk like a dog on a leash then have them run off and hit by a car!!!
Let me get going. I haven't heard anything from Kim on how she likes the ship yet.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara.
Dear Brandi,
That's wonderful news.!!! I just corrected on the Navy cheer, it's HOO YAH!! I put it on Kim's Welcome Home sign, and she corrected me. I had it written as woo hoo!! HAHA!!
SO, for me to remember it, I put it down on my profile!!! HAHA!!
That will fantastic that Ashley will be home for Christmas!! I'm going to send a package to Kim as soon as she lets me know her new address. She's sleeping on the ship, but it's drydocked for awhile.
Let me get going.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
Dear Brandi,
I forgot to make a comment about thiose grays!! I'm overdue myself. I like to frost, the gray blends in with the blonde streaks! HAhA!!
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
Dear Brandi,
Well, congratulaions on Ashley's graduation!! Those Good byes are hard. I can imagine our children also having that same pit in their stomach when we depart.
I wish Ashley all the best in A School.
This morning was our Goodbye, again. Kim left for Virginia. My older daughter was driving , and we got lost going to the airport, almost didn't make this 12:30 PM flight. The problem was the time consuming luggage security check. Fortunatly, she did go. The next flight wasn't until 7 PM tonight.
I cooked the Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. So I'll serve the left overs next week, it's only the four of us.
Let me get going. I wasn't on last night, so I know I am so backlogged.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
I know what you mean. I have a wild 4 year old. She has so much energy. She has had a hard time with her brother gone. He always called her squirt. Myhusband called her squirt yesterday and she cried and said "No one can call me Squirt, but my brother, you have to call me Faith." We could not help but to laugh at her. I mailed Rusty his phone yesterday. I hope t be able to talk with him mare when he gets it. Have a good day.
Dear Brandi,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
Where is Ahley now in the Navy?
I'm still new. My daughter Kim finished A School and got her orders. She'll be on the USS Normandy, stationed in Virginia.
Right now she's home until Saturday. Another Goodbye!! UGH!
I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara

My daughter will graduate in March. If I fly into Midway, how far is it to the base? How did you get there?
