OH MY GOSH..I am part of the OHIO GROUP but am just right over the border from them..am in PA..are you serious? Bless your heart for offering a hot stone treatment to us!! I think you are a gift to us and would you mind if another Navy Mom and I came together as a FIRST time meeting?? Let me know...(((HUGS))) and GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Hi!! Adam got back to GL a lot easier than he got home. That 2 weeks sure went by fast didn't it? It's still hard to say goodbye. I was doing pretty good when he was leaving. I took him to the bus, he got on and before I was out of the parking lot he sent me a text that said he didn't want to go...I cried all the way to work. The good news is... he's done with A school as of yesterday. He's on hold right now, but will be going to San Diego soon. He can't wait for that, he's never been crazy about the snow and cold. LOL
Ya, the goodbyes certainly do NOT get any easier!!! It was so so nice having him home though -- miss him like crazy again!!!! He's taking his last mod test tomorrow--praying he passes--this is his last chance--he missed it right before break--praying hard!!!!
Thanks! Hope your new year is starting out great! We enjoyed our time with him (what little bit that was ..... LOL). He made happy (extremely loud) music while he was home with a bunch of his friends!!! It was really hard to see him go, the good-byes definitely don't get any easier. Things are way to quiet around here without him :( Best wishes to you, your sailor and your family. Stay in touch! (I definitely am trying to stay busy....try to keep my mind on positive things :) Re
OK, that is so weird!!! I JUST started going there--Dawn does my hair!!! WOW!!! I was freaking out since I have been with my hairdresser for about 20 years--but the place is GREAT and I LOVE Dawn! So funny!! It is a small world!
Thanks for checking in with me! We just got home with my son. His friend had a close friend of his from home pick him up at the airport, he will be coming to our house in about 3 days or so. YAY! They are finally home!
Best Wishes to you & your family
Hi LA, glad your hubby was able to successfully retrieve your son! Praying for their safe arrival home. I'm so sorry you were a victim of theft and experienced a car wreck. I admire your attitude though. You have great perspective. It can always be worse! One of my daughter's good friends just lost their house, cat and dog to a fire the other night. Single Mom, just started working in Real Estate last year, things were already a bit rough. Here's the capper: They rented, the structure was insured, contents weren't! So sad and such a hard time of year for it to happen too. Anyways, just wanted to say "Hi" and welcome to the ranks of Corpsman Moms. Mine graduated "A" school in late Oct., so feel free to ask any questions. Take care and Happy Holidays! :-)
I'm glad to know that they are on their way home. My son is on the Metra right now making his way to the bus station. His bus leaves at 11:30. He should get here tomorrow at 10:30. I hope he stays ahead of the storm too. He said no snow there yet. We live in Erie, Pa, only a couple hours away from you. I tried the friend request again. Have a great holiday!
I keep calling my son and can't get him to answer his phone. It is throwing me right into his voicemail. I have left him messages asking him to please call me.
Thanks so much for the offer, but if hubby has your son, he should get outta dodge.
Hi Lori!!!! So nice to "meet" you!!! Wow, that's incredible tha you know this place--Lowell, I mean! what a difference where you are now from the Cape huh!!? So is your sone coming home for Christmas?? I am picking Anthony up at midnight at Logan!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
