Come on guys...we have all these people in our group & only a few are coming...we need to support one another...it will be great fun & very informative....I have a couple of Navy recruiters coming to answer everyone's questions...we'll have a lot of fun at the Tampa Bay get together on March 1....please respond...
I got an email from Sam asking for Michaels last name. I sent her his complete address...she said it wasn't in the box. Anyway I got another email from her saying that he wasn't on the air craft carrier but a different ship all together. I am not sure where she got her info.
I did send him a card directly to him and I am guessing he got that okay, sorry about the package mix up.
I got an email from Sam. She said she got the package. She actually ate some of the Pop tarts before she emailed me. But she said she will try and find Micael and give him some things out of the box. I also had sent him a card at the same time I sent her's and she got hers so he should have that as well. I did put his address in the box to make it easier for her to look for him.
Ok just want to send everyone a little something my Michael sent to me, and oh boy did I have a good laugh over it to here it is:
Subject: Fwd: Fw: state trooper
A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.
"Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-45, pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring.
He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.
Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, "Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."
The old gentleman paused. Then said, "Years ago, my wife ran off with a State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back."
Okay its a done deal. I got an email from Sam that she said she would look him up as she gets the package....lots of goodies heading their way. I just get one of the post office flat rate priority boxes and fill it as full as I can. I am not sending noodles...lol.
How about pop tarts? Sam said everyone loves it when she gets pop tarts & Roman Noodles (yuck). She actually ate Roman Noodles for Thanksgiving dinner.
OK here I am again...is Michael an EN..please....OMG>.my son is also..he is currently deployed aboard the USS Rodney M. Davis.....kicking but out in the Pacific...I might add...Shawn is just coming up on his 1 yrs anniversary in the navy!

I saw a post from you on one of the FL moms groups. I love your story and I know that a connection between Aunt and nephew can be as strong if not stronger than mom/son.... I loved watching your pictures scroll. I'm glad I "bumped" into you! Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I am gearing up to go back to school/work on Monday. I loved being off, but I am very happy to go back to real life! Beth
It is not only a mother that gives birth that loves a son..It is those who raise that "son" that makes them so special...I know I have given birth to 4 and raised three more that we eventually adopted. They were our great nephews and neices and now our own children... I know you are proud of your son and have every right to be...I too am old enough to be your mom. And would be proud to have someone as special as you to call daughter.. Thanks for inviting me to be your friend.
Hi Dee. I read your story about you and your son - Wow you are young. I'm old enough to be your mom. lol. What does your Michael do? My son is Patrick and is a handler on the flight deck (green shirt)
