So good to hear that ya'll had a good Christmas! I think Mark is really liking the USN too. He has been a little bored since he got back though. I think it'll be better when they get back into a normal routine again. He seems to be tired of trudging around in the snow already. I wish we could get a little snow here. Did you send me the picture yet? HAPPY NEW YEAR girl!!! What's your New Year's resolution???? I have too many to list .....lol. Love ya!
Hey CM! I don't have but a minute to chat ....just wanted to make sure to tell you and yours to have a very Merry Christmas in case I don't get a chance to get back on before the big day! It's such a busy and hectic time of year and I am still having to do some shopping. Mark is here and we're trying to entertain him but he seems a little bored. Hey ...the first song is Taylor Hicks from American Idol. You'll be in my thoughts today .....I've already started crying and it's not even 8:00 yet. I'll probably lose it during the blessing my Daddy always does before our meal. I may have to "hide out" in the bathroom 'til it's over. We still haven't gotten a phone call since he left GL. haven't seen your insight in group ( does that sound 12 step?) ;) I wish I could lay lower- but a little stressed- mine doesn't do BS until wed. night- call on thurs. we get there wed. night- can you imagine? stuck with parents and X. Yikes!!I am trying to move from there.. thought it would be easier now......
enough of me... how are you? please don't feel like you have to answer- I'll catch up thurs.. looking forward to meeting you & other sisters whov'e been here through all this...geez..hope the stress does not stay at this level for all of his navy career.......or I'll never work- just stay home&practice yoga forever.
HAng in there my son PIR 10-24-08 and I remember the waiting. The call did not come in until around 3 pm that day. They keep them up all night for BS and once it is over they have Capping which was on my son's DVD the one the recruiters gave him. That is when they change the Recruit Ball Cap for a Navy Ball cap. My son was so cute when he called that day after BS. He said "...Mom you are talking to an official US Sailor..." it was so cute. He told me they keep them up all night and were no allowed to go to bed until 8 pm that night and said how tired he was. The Div who had BS that night are the ones that get phone privedges that day. So hang in there your call is coming.
It could be worse one of the div that PIR with my son their BS was not until Wednesday night before PIR. Many parents were flying in the air and not knowing if their Recruit passed BS. I was glad my son's was on Sunday night.
I,,m a mess, no news seems to be good news from what i have been reading. So, they have time to read our stuff, talk about needing to get a life. Ha.Ha, after they graduate we will have to post that information to the next mom's, maybe the retired navy guy will send us good news tonight. Can't wait to meet

I am north of waukegan(?) on my way- if you want I will be more than happy to pick you up.I have invited my parents and they were not interested and want me to go- they will divert the x for me ;) ( at least my dad promised to- he thinks it's sooo funny)
