It was great meeting you and your husband. We didn't get to Flanagan's until almost 8:00. By the time we went to Chicago Midway Airport to spend time with Berta and do Christmas. We were able to get gate passes and stay with her until she got on the airplane. It was 1-1/2 drive back from the airport. It was a long day but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Let me know when your pictures are uploaded and approved so that I can check them out.
W just got off the phone with Scott. That's one nice thing..they can call whenever they don't have duty. We've talked to him 3 times since Sunday. We think we may go see him this Saturday...only live 2 1/2 hours from GL. Want to take him his tax forms to sign and another calling card. Poor kid is going broke calling us. Wish they could have their cells...all of them that got shipped out already have theirs! Seems like a punishment that ours can't too. Where is Carissa going when she gets orders?
Hi Cheryl-
Scott is on hold at GL too...waiting for orders. Something got messed up as he was to have his roders, not sure what happened. Is Carissa on ship 17 too? Scott said there were a few females from his division there.
Hi all. I got the "call" I am the proud mother of a US Sailor. Div 074 capped at 8:30AM. Congratulations to all the proud parents and all the new Sailors!! See you soon. We will be traveling tomorrow.
Hi Cheryle, I have been page hopping to all the 074 ladies and and telling them i am thinking about all our guys..... But of course i am thinking of our gal too! Looking forward to hearing good news from you tomorrow!
Hi Cheryl, just a quick note to say "hi". We're from Milford as well, and our son is schedualed to graduate the week after your daughter. Maybe they knew each other from school.
Hi Cheryl, Got a letter from Brian today. He said he knows Carissa and "i talk to her every once in a while and she is pretty cool." I loved getting the card from Brian with all the signatures and little notes from everyone else so I always tell the moms what Brian says about their kids to give you a little insight into how other people see them. :-)
Cheryl, so good to see you back! We missed you! How is Carissa? They sure have gone through a lot since the last time we "chatted". Scott says he knows a guy who knows Carissa. Six degrees, huh? Can't wait to see you and your sailor at PIR. Only 18 more days to go!
Hi Cheryl, Welcome back! We were worried about you because right about the time you disappeared there was rumor of some girl having to leave the division. Brian siad he knows your fdaughter.... well he made it sound like he knows who she is but doesnt really know her. Either way, they are both div 074 so i look forward to meeting you and your Sailor!
"Hi Cheryl, Why arent we "friends" if our kids are in the same div? LOL Sarah did know some guys from her div so Brian may know your daughter. I sent you a friend request with his last name. Please do the same for your daughter. I would love to ask him if he knows her...."
Hi Cheryl! Saw your post in the BC forum. My son is ship 5 div 074. I have to ask... who is the young man in the first four pictures of your slide show.... but more importantly, what does his sign say!??? LOL
