Yes my son James went to Great Lake. That sounds wonderful getting a group together for coffee. (I love coffee:) ) James has been in Penacola since November he still hasn't started school. He is going to be in Avaition Electroic Tech. What is your son going to school for?

BTW, has Kathy mentioned anything to you about our idea for doing a potluck on Friday at the Residence Inn?? I asked them at the hotel about using the breakfast room for something casual like that so a bunch of us could get together with the boys and they said sure....what do you think??
Hi Nicole, yes we did get the call......It was so great to hear from him! He sounds well and he's excited to finish up and graduate! He can't wait to see us! He's very excited to have Princeton hang with us after you leave, he says that Princeton is one the few guys he really likes!
The Residence Inn did look nice huh?? We're staying til Tuesday AM....Princeton is welcome to hang with us after you guys leave if the guys want....it seems that they've really hit it off...
Hi Nicole: My son PIR'd on July 3, '08. His A school was in GL and right after Thanksgiving he moved to Norfolk to be on the HST. He is an Operations Specialist. We live in Baton Rouge--not too far from you. Wow--if you are going to GL for 1/15 dress in layers--it's cold like we never ever have here. My oldest son graduated in the mid of Jan in 1994 and it was unbelievable. But it's worth the trip!
Hi Nicole! No letters, Austin warned me though that he was spending every free minute studying as he wants to do really well on his tests and inspections. We're so excited about PIR!!!! We have our flight booked, and we booked suite at the Residence Inn Waukegan / Gurnee. Austin said he doesn;t really want to go out and do a lot that weekend as it's SOOOOO cold, so I figured a suite would be nice because it has a FULL kitchen so I can cook most of our meals, and it has a living room separate from the bedroom so we have plenty of room to hang out.....it looks really clean and nice as well. I'm excited to meet you all soon!

He's gained 10 lbs???? That's so funny, Austin's saying he lost about 15!!!!!!!! our guys are too funny! Yes I feel especially bad for those two guys parents....how awful for them.

Hey Nicole, No Austin didn't say anything about his boots being uncomfortable or needing insoles....He did however tell me about the 2 guys in their division who up and left.....just deserted in the middle of the night! Did you hear about that???? I can not wait to see them!

J did excellent on live weapons. 5.0 he said that if he gets another 5.0 next week, he will get a ribbon and a medal at PIR. He sounded great. I am so proud of him.

LOL, yes Austin was telling me that Princeton was saying hello to me as well....they're so funny! I'm glad that they've grown to be friends! Australia for 3 years....I'll take that over the middle east any day....PLEASE send my baby to Australia!!!! Besides, I've always wanted to go to Sydney myself. : ) I'm so glad we got phone calls today, I feel so much better. 3 more weeks and we get to see our boys.....I can't wait!
