Glad to hear that Rusty is finally in SD. How does he like it? Is he starting A school now or did he do that in Great Lakes?Matt should be finished with A school at the end of July and then goes on to power school before prototype school. He is really spending all his time studying. But says he has learned more than he learned in the whole three years at ECU.I am finally healing from the 2 surgeries and actually played a littel golf last week-end. Matt is coming home for the holiday tomorrow. I can't wait to see him!

We all had a great 2 weeks with him....and I still miss him everyday.
It's still hard getting use too. Maybe sometime early next year u and I can
meet up in SD...I plan on going to see him several times. It's only a little over an hour flight for me..whoooohoooooo
So yes, call me next week...I'd love to talk. Me and hubby are going away for the weekend, it's our annivesary Monday....I can't wait...I love the Ocean. Ok, so talk to u soon :) Oh and how is that darling grandson of yours?
Great, leaving on the 19th. That wonderful. I bet he is so excited. If he needs help with anything let me know. I will have Matt get together with him. I have to be very careful with that. Not all guys hit it off when they meet and the last time I sent someone to him for help, it wasn't good. The kid was a little out there. Email me Rustys last name, if you don't mind. Its easier for the kids to find each other that way. John looked so handsome in his whites. The boys will both finish school in July so we hope to have them both home this summer for a few weeks. Long time no talk!!!! Apparently from the other little notes, Rusty's going to San Diego....I'm SO JEALOUS!!! We leave in Phx remember? and Andrew is going to the Marine base Camp LeJuene (spelling?) in North Carolina until Oct then back to GL for awhile then????????

Long time.. so sorry i have been out of the loop. hopefully i am back now. sooo much still going on. We got a puppy (like having a new baby. ) She is adorable. Nate got his orders. Looks like we can go to San Diego together. he will be there. It's been a long 5 months huh??? How are you? How is the family? How is Rusty? How are you? I still have my moments. My daughter (oldest) now has NAtes car. It was not easy cleaning it out. Nate has a pick up too. So maybe he will get it soon. Hope you are well. TTYL

Thinking of you today. We leave for GL tomorrow. Another PIR, but sadly this will be my last, unless my grandson joins. Since he is only 2 I have a long wait. LOL How is Rusty doing. Did he get a leave date for SD? Matt just got a car. From what he told me its a real junker. But he is working on it with a few of his Navy friends. Said it gives them something to do. He didn't want to put alot of money into a car, just wanted something to get him around. He never knows were he will be going next. Said if he gets on a ship and leaves he won't mind just junking this one. Or giving it away. I love it that he calls twice a week, I can't wait until John can do the same. Well keep me posted on Rustys adventures. TTYL
So good to hear from you Diane. Glad to hear Rusty is doing so well. Matt actually came home this week-end to pick-up his car. It is so good to spend time with him. He has grown up so much. He told me recently he was walking back to his room from class and they were lowering the "colors" as he stood there and saluted, he said it was one of the proudest moments of his life. His A school is 6 months and then 6 months of power school after he goes to prototype so it will be a while begore he is on a carrier. He has opted for a carrier rather than a sub. We are planning to g to Charleston for 4th of July. It should be very cool on a naval base during the 4th.
Hey Diane, Glad he got his orders. the 25th isn't that far away. Look out SD here he comes. I know he will love it out there. Matt tells me its the best place ever. So much to do. All kinds of people to meet. You can't get around as freely as you can in GL. Things are more spread out. But there is always someone on base that has a car. I hope I get to see SD before Matt leaves. But right now things are not to good for me to travel out there. I only have 3 weeks vac. at work and This year all are spoken for. So we will see how long he will be there. Have you thought about going out?
John is a bit home sick, but he only has a few weeks left. 14 days to be excect. I really miss my guys. I've had a few hard days. Thank God for my hubby. He is my best friend, don't know what I would do with out him.
My guys went thur the same thing. They get a little home sick, they start partying a little to much. They get bored, I have heard it all. He is just in need of a change. When Matt was in GL things got to be to routine for him. You can only spend so much time at the mall. So thats when the parties start. Just make sure he keeps his nose clean. Tell him to have fun but think twice before he acts. Its hard for us to let go but they are so far away we just have to hope we tought them well. Tell him to hang in there. Once he gets to SD he will have more to do. New places to see. I feel for you. I'm living the same thing.
Hey just wanted to catch up. The baseball is a no go for Matt. He said it would take away from his school and training, No future in it so he's passing on that. Has to keep focused on the future. I'm glad he has is mind in the right place. John is doing well, I hope, no phone calls just letters. But he sounds good in his letters. Has ATT started for Rusty? I think you told me he did, that will make time go by faster then on to SD! I hope he loves it there as much as Matt does.
Haven't been on here much! Hope all is well with Rusty. Marcos is done with schooling but waiting for his paperwork to be corrected, don't know how long that will take. He's ready to leave Meridian! I'm excited to see him when he comes home and anxious to know his orders too! It in God & Navy time. Have a great Easter weekend. ttys
Glad Rusty finally started school. I know what its like to have them wait. Its hard when they want to come home. If he really wants it he will buy his own ticket. He is making money, so don't feel like you have to pay for everything. My guys always got there own tickets when they wanted to come home. and when he see's that the price is so high he will think twice. Matt had time between ATT and his move to SanDiego to come home for a week. Maybe Rusty will too.
Matt hasn't talked about the baseball, so I don't know what is going on with that. He is having wife problems so our conversations have been on that. John is doing great. I've gotten 3 letters and a phone call last Friday. He is half way, so things will start getting a little easier now. He is a grad-n-go but will be staying in GL for A-school. So we will still get to spend the weekend with him. His job training will be MM (Machinist mate) Not sure what field he will be in. Like Matt he started out as Advanced Elec. and Computors and went to STG so who know. I just have to wait and see. He will be meeting with his advisers this week. TTYL
I was on here this morning wanted to stop in and say HI, How everything with you and Rusty? Did he get any orders yet. Matt is doing well in C-school, and John is holding his own in BC. Matt tells me they ask him to try out for the Navy Baseball Team, I didn't even know they had a baseball team,. He said he would give it a try. Sounds like fun. He played in high school but thats been a few years. He was on a soft ball team in GL, said they always played against the officers. I really don't know where this will take him but we will see. So write soon and update me on Rusty. TTYL
Glad you had a great trip. Its amazing how they grow up. I just love it. did you go alone? Any new pictures? I know what you mean about changing all the time. been there done that.lol Matt stayed in GL for ATT also. Thing move slow but they do move. John's PIR is 5/8. We plan to get to GL on 5/7 and stay until 5/11. I do plan a meet and great at Flanagans. I guess thats were they always get together. I never had that with the other two. This site just started when Matt went to BC and no one did that kind of stuff yet. And didn't have any of this with Eric. So you know were I will be come May if you can make it, I will see you there.
Hey girlie! Andrew told me he saw you!! Did he tell you he's GETTING MARRIED???? I'm not real happy, not cuz I don't like Andrea, but they've only known each other 3 mos. Good news though my oldest has finally decided to join the navy, he should leave in Nov.
