Hi there Diane
How the heck are ya? it's been a long time friend, how's Rusty and where is he?
my son is on his 1st deployment, seeing the world.
Get back to me when u can :)
Hello Diane. Hope you are doing well. How is Rusty and where is he now? Zac graduated from CM School (Construction Mechanic) on July 21st and surprised me for my birthday on the 22nd. Wasn't expeting him until Aug 8th. He left yesterday for Gulfport MS where he will be stationed with the 25th Construction Battalion. He won several awards while in Port Hueneme, CA. So atleast he is closer to hime now (but still about 12 hrs). I think of you often. Baby season is in full force at the moment so I am lucky to get a day to breathe. Love to you and Rusty. Love our Sailors!
Hi Diane, haven't heard from you in a while. Matt will be leaving SD the end of the month. He got stationed in VA, on the USS McFaul, I happy he will be closer to home. John also got stationed there. He will be out on deployment until Nov. He flys out to meet his ship on the 18 of this month. Hows Rusty doing. Hope he is flying though school and loving SD. I know Matt hates to leave. But he is looking to move on. Lots of excitment is ahead for our guys.
Hey Diane, Haven't written in a while. Matt just past his comp test and will graduate A school this Friday. He is now a petty officer. He has 6 months of power school and 6 months of prototype before he goes to the fleet, but he is well on his way. How is Rusty?
Morning Diane, How was you trip to San Diego? Matt got his orders last week. He will be going to Virgina the end of the summer. Stationed on the USS Mcfaul DDG As much as he loves SD I think he is ready to move on. Can't wait to hear about your trip.
Wishing you a great great trip to SD!!!!! John is home for his leave before going to SD too! He is glad he got that location. He'll be home until the 11th.
Tell us all about it when you get back.
Smiles.
Morning Diane. Just wanted to drop you a line and wish you a safe trip to SD. I wish I was going. John is coming home for the 4th. So I will have one son back in Jersey. If you see Matt give him a big kiss for me. LOL
Thanks for writing back. Oh, the garden center business has been very good despite the "economy" so I have been working non stop. When John's grandpa died a month ago, we got John home to be with all of us and I can't tell you how important that trip was for him. It will be a lifetime memory and a huge growing experience. I will have to post pictures here.
Just spoke to him last night and he classes up today for his last A school- about 15 days. So, after that, he may get to come home- not sure for how long because he got to come home twice already and don't know if that time cut into his leave time. We'll see. He has not mentioned where he may be heading so I don't think he knows yet. He did not have to wait too long for schools so he is lucky there.
We are so proud aren't we? He is talking about savings accounts, getting a credit card, credit and saving for a vehicle all on his own for when he gets to where ever he is going.
So glad you will see Rusty again! Who would have thought that every visit would so important, not knowing when that next visit will be. You certainly are doing it right too; spending quality time together and capturing it all in pictures! I love it. So, have a great time with him and do share with us.
I have my daughter's grad for HS coming up so we have lots going on at home too.
Getting 2 ready for college in Aug. will be interesting... no children home this fall- bitter/sweet.
Take care and keep in touch!
Hi Diane. I was just thinking of you and Rusty. I love your site here. It gets me so patriotic and proud of our boys, you know?
John has finished his 2nd A school class and did very well. He is waiting to class up for his 3rd and final A school in GL. He can't wait to move on but....
Glad to read everyone doing so well. Just wanted to say HI!
Hi Diane
That's great....My sons ship gets in later :)
I'd love to fly over, it only cost 49 one way.....just have soooo much going on
he heads out again for his 6 month deployment soon and we'll all be there when he arrives back and hopefully he'll come home for 2 weeks.
where are you staying ?
Diane, thats great. I wish I could go with you. John is coming home for the 4th. so I am also having a wonderful holiday. I know you will have a blast in SD. I want to see pictures. lots of pictures. I am so happy for you. : )
Hey Diane,
I'll let Matt know you said hello. It was great having Matt home, but it is awful seeing him leave. We are planning a trip to Charleston ove the 4th of July and then he will be home for a week at the end of July. He will be finshed with A school then. I'ts hard to believe he has been in Charleston that long. After, he'll have 6 months of power school and then an minimum of 6 months prototype (that is self -paced) How long will Rusty be in SD? What is he doing there?
Andrew is doing great! 2mrw is his 19th b-day (28th) and he'll be hm friday!!!!!! He home for 10 days then off to N.C. Camp Lejuene to try Marine training til Oct 10th, then back to GL to be assigned to a permenant marine div. U met my oldest son Kevin at PIR, he leaves Nov. 23. hopefully when he PIR's in Jan, hopefully Andrew will still be in GL then so we can all be together for his grad. I was really hoping Andrew would get SD it's only 5 hr drive from here, but he didn't, I cried. We need to exchange phone #'s, r we allowed?
Diane, in the long run its better that he started right away. He will always have time to come home. My guys plan to come home for a short while in Aug. I can't wait. Matt is a def. but John is still up in the air. We will see, I cross my fingers. To have them all together will be great. John is loving the Navy life so far. Just trying to find his way.
So have you heard from Rusty, how was his first weekend in SD? I talk to Matt. He said if he had time he would look him up. Can't wait to hear how he is making out.
Hi Diane. I have been very slack on here lately. Hope you are well. Hope Rusty is loving the CA. Zachary decided he could not do the submarine thing, so he got a transfer in to Seabee Construction Mechanic - in which he loves. He wanted more hands on experience. He is now in Port Hueneme, CA. Seems to be adjusting well. Likes the warm weather better than the cold. Hopefully he comes home in mid August. We got to see him before he left in April. (A quick-unexpected road trip) I think of you often. Work has been busy, I hardly have a chance to check email. Much love. Yana
Sent Matt a txt with Rustys info. Told him to look him up if he had time and show him around. Can't promise that he will but I got the word out. Who know they my become friends. Keep me posted.
