how are you holding up? i know i am going to be ok. knowing just 9 more days
and counting. I'm just praying for this week to be over.. this is a hard week for them. hope to see you at the meet and greet friday
Hey! Welcome to the site! I know its helped me out a ton...hope you find it just as useful. The ladies here are amazing! I'll send you a message with Jason's last name. 10 days and counting!
Hey there! I found your son's note on my Christmas Card. He said my son is a model recruit who never gets in trouble and i did a good job! Awwwww! What a sweet thing to say! It is so cool to hear others say wonderful things about my kid which is what i love most about the card. :-D Plus, the fact that your son wrote something like that probably means that they know each other pretty well.
Dear gmagriz,
That was the smallest package now. It's a shame that these photographers make money hand over fist, and the pictures go to waste with a family like mine. It's only the four of us, no one left of my side or my husbands.
I have the large picture of Kim in the living room, and pictures in my bedroom. I gave out the wallet size to everyone I know.
The rest of the pictures are on the side of my bed collecting dust.
Dear grmagriz,
I'm more than happy to help. I was paranoid over my daughter's white uniform. SHe graduated in June. The color white and I don't get along at all!!! HAHA!! That's why I suggest about the clothe for sitting down.
We also didn't know about the pictures my daughter Kim picked up after graduation. So I tell other moms, and don't you know, only two moms so far, told me that their Sailor paid for the pictures themselves!!
I've been a steady writer here since June, and only two moms said that. Otherwise, every mother has had the honors of paying for those pictures, and they're not cheap! I have no family on either side. So Kim bought the smallest package availbable, the cost was $ 140.
Hello! My son is in the same division (074). Very glad to meet another 074 mom! I am so looking forward to January 23rd and would love to stay in touch with you between now and then. Please wear a tourquoise ribbon on your shirt and outer jacket to Great Lakes and PIR so we will know when we see you that you are an N4M mom!
Dear gmagriz,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
You have a beautiful family, God bless.
I see from the PIR date Thomas graduates in two weeks, congratulations!!
Since it's so close, let me share my little tidbit information!! HAHA!! I enjoy this.
You will need a a car, everything is far apart.
!) Get to graduation early, around 7:30 AM. The security line is long. If you drive in, the car line is extremly long and the car gets inspected with the hood and trunk opened.
2) Phote ID, camera and tissues.
3) Bring a blank check. Thomas will be picking up his Navy pictures. It's very rare if the Sailor pays for them, they usually give us that honor!!
4) bring a dark clothe or towel for Thomas to sit on, that uniform has to stay spotless.
5) Bring some of Thomas's old clothes. If he has the time spend in the hotel room, he can be relaxed in his old clothes.
I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.
Barbara
