Hi Mike's Mom, noticed you'd tried to start a discussion for your Div in the 900s Group. Did you ever find any other Moms before your sons PIR? I ask because I was part of the 932s of '08. :) There were only 6 of us, one of them became one of my dearest friends, 4 of us still stay in touch pretty regularly. We waited all year to see our number come around again. Makes me sad to think you didn't enjoy the same kind of bonding and support we had with each other! I'm sure you enjoyed the PIR ceremony and time with your Sailor though. Where is your son now?

My daughter is 20 & my youngest. She's an IT & is stationed in Hawaii. I have always been very close to my daughter & we're still very close. I talk to her nearly everyday. I just wish she wasn't a 12 plane ride away:)

Hi & welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley, has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT. What will your son be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your recruit. Pat
