Hi, I just got around to reading navy for moms. Nick & Mandy are stationed in va beach now for 4 yrs. They are doing great. Nick is on a ship- destroyer the uss oscar austin starting in sept. after he finishes school. They both are E-4's now. They are both on facebook and myspace if you want to tell your son. Take care Lisa
Fantastic! I bet it was so fun...how proud you must be of him! Shea's should be coming in another 3 weeks. He said it is very interesting...lots of areas to think about. He is sure proud to be in the Navy...I still haven't adjusted to the thought he has crossed the threshold and is now a young man on his own. I sure miss him. Proud of these young people for what they stand for, what they are doing.
Good to hear from you ,
Linda
Thinking of you. Again...I so appreciate your poster idea....and help on that!
He really liked it....and saved it! So I know that meant alot to him. thanks to you! Shea is to start QM school here in a week I believe. Seems like pulling teeth to get information or anything from him. Hope all is well with your sons'....and you are doing super! xo Take care...keep in contact.
Linda
Shea has been moved so much, lost touch of friends. He has had infection went to the hospital yesterday. Pretty sick with a chest cold it sounds. He sounds pretty down. Hope some of his friends call him. It is hard being sick, but not knowing anyone is more hard on him at this point now.
How are you and your sons?
It has been pretty cold here and lots of flood/slides, etc.

Keep in touch....xo

Marie. I got your e-mail and sent in for you to be a friend do not know if it went. How is your son and daughter-in-law liking base life and do they live on base? My granddaughter-in-law would love to meet other wive and is looking for a support group to get aquainted with more Navy wives. Maybe they can learn from each other. Gayle
Best wishes for the season, Marie! Ditto on what Linda said (hee, hee! - my sentiments, as well!) Damien started school and has signed up for sub. He's doing great. Life is good. I hope this finds you happy and warm! Big hugs! -karen
Thinking of you and your family! Merry Christmas! It will always warm my heart when my son saw the poster in the room (MANY THANKS TO YOU MARIE!!!) Thank you for all your time spent gathering that together. We saved it.....what a beautiful suprise you let me give my son. God bless you!
Keep in touch. Shea is home now. What a comfort. My love to you all!
XO Linda It was wonderful to meet your family & husband!
Marie, Thanks so much for the info! I am going Monday with Drew to have a "sit down" with the recruiter. I will put that on my list of questions, it keeps growing!! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
P.S. We are from AA county, Pasadena!
Marie,
My son had PIR on 11-21 also and went to GC on Tuesday so I'm sure he was on the plane with your son. Isn't it just such a relief to have them there and be able to have a little bit of communication?! I'm so much happier now and so is my son!!! Congrats on your two boys in the Navy!
Happy Thanksgiving! I'm glad you are back home, safe and sound! I hope you get a couple of good phone calls today! Mine called yesterday, just moved in to his "dorm" and sounded so at ease now, as compared to how pumped he was from BC! I guess this is when I can send him civvies (and cookies)? I wish your pic came out clear from Flanagans, poop. You have a wonderful family and must be so proud of all of them! Tell your daughter she is stunning and to watch out for those sailors out there! (wink!) You were talked about on the Washington group site by another mom who met you and made friends with your oldest, quite moving what she said...!The N4M goodness keeps us together! -Karen
We are here. We didn't get here until late...and then I had to finish some work before I could get on here. We are in room 243. We saw your sign on the door! I wish I had thought of that!!!
