My son is Douglas and he has been on the ship about a yr and half now, this is our first deployment and he said he's loving it but ready to take leave and come home and see friends and family. Will you be coming to Homecoming? Hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July weekend and Please let me know if I can help you in anyway. Talk with you soon. Leann
Hi, yes I am on fb but I am still learning how it works. Stephen is doing great, back from his weekend on the battleship and just loved it. How are things going with you?
Hi Maryellen, Good to hear from you. Stephen is doing great, this weekend he is leaving on Friday and taking a chopper to a Frigate (that is the smallest battleship that the Navy owes) and spending the weekend on it and will return on Monday, he is so excited. Started school last Thur., and doing good. How is your sailor doing? I can't get on FB at work I am going to have to try at home. Take care!
Hi M E I hope you are feeling better now. I will try to call you tomorrow. I am off of work and amhoping to connect iwth you some time tomorrow. Take care my friend and hope James is still doing great. Talk soon Kathy
I am glad you are feeling better, it is no fun being sick. Yes I do get to talk with Stephen, he should of gotten his clearance yestersday at 1300, I am trying to talk Navy. LOL I do not know when school will start for him but, he sounds real good and enjoying the warm weather. He has been to the beach, the mall and a movie. He has bought some new clothes, he lost a lot of weight, (he needed too) and now he has asked for some things from home so I am boxing it up and sending it to him by the end of the week. He says he does not have a lot of room for storage. I still have to give him the inforamtion about James, I am on a mission to get these boys together, now he can go over to the other side of the base. Any news on James? Is he doing ok? You take care and I will talk with you soon.
Mary Ellen, sorry I have been MIA for a while, pictures are ordered by the sailor about wk 5 when pictures are done. They take the cost out of pay. Write if it isn't to late get the keel year book also.
About the graphics, I get them from all over the place. I steal them, HA! When mom's post and have ones I like, I ask and then I steal. I did have a period once that I went in and looked for the sites too. I actually have several folders of patriotic ones and stuff that I have procured, HA! I still haven't downloaded them. On the graphics site that I did, you can "take" any you like.
Good Morning ME, haven't heard from you in a day or 2. I hope all is well with you. How is your James doing? I am sure he is doing great. Hope your arm is better. Take care and talk soon. We re going down to see J and taking his G F with us. She is a gem and he is lucky to have her. How is that grand baby of yours? There is nothing like the bond between a grand daughter and her grandma. KIT...
I'm good. I am off of work tomorrow and can't wait. Will talk later as I am at work. Send James some snacks that he likes too. They let them have stuff in their rooms as long as it can be sealed.
Well you granddaughter is lovely. I bet he really misses her, they grow so fast, thank God for pictures. Stephen is in the Corry Building. All he has is a PMB box, he is on Roberts Ave, I don't know if that helps. When I talk with him again I will find out more, but that is where will mailed his box too.
How are you? It sounds like things are coming along for him, I am glad. I am glad you told James about Stephen you can never have to many friends. I love all of your photo's, the baby is very pretty, she has a great smile, I bet she keeps you busy. LOL How old is she?
I heard from Stephen yesterday/Monday (no long), he sounds good so that is good, he graduates from Core on Friday and he thinks he has a month to wait before class will start. He likes his room mate and they work out together so I am glad he has someone. He has to do color guard everyday, yesterday it ran late so the mess hall (I think that is what you call it) was closed so he had to go out to eat, (I would like him to save his money), so I did not think that was right. Next time if he has time I am going to send him right over to find your son, I am on a mission. LOL But, he did say the weather was warm, wish I was there. Take Care!

I am so glad that Samantha's Steven is in the same building as your son, I hope our sons get to meet. I met a man in Home Depot this weekend and he was in the Navy for 20 years. He was saying that in Florida, there are certain areas to stay away from and to watch which guys you hang around with, you know anywhere you go there are always places like that, and ALWAYS you can always find trouble makers. He also said that they need to forcus on their studies, he said if you fail a class they can kick you out, but I don't believe that, I thought that if you failed you either take the class over or you do a lot of grunt work. What do you think? He said that there are places to eat right on the base and a bus that will take you to the beach, once you get leave. He also said that they need the parents to encouage them, I said that is right but I am hoping that the Navy does their part because we are not with them. I hope to hear from Stephen very soon, I miss him. Hope you had a nice weekend.
Thanks so much for the Birthday wishes! It is actually on the 26th but celebrated it this week-end while my husband was home! Hope all is well with you and your son in Florida. Thanks for thinking of me:)

I have gotten alot of compliments from people saying they lover the engraved one. I like being able to wear my sailor close to my heart!!!
