Yeah, we are just doing the family thing as well. Daughter is home from college til end of January and like I said, A home a few days after that. I am cooking a special dinner for both times. I wonder where our boys will go overseas and when? Sooz

Hey Dawn.....doesn't Z have time accrued? I heard something like a certain about of hrs. earned a month (like 2.5). Maybe he can come home in January? I also saw that blurb about 2 years overseas. That's for all MA's, right? Does Z know where he will be going or is this just sometime in the future? It's COOOOOOLLLLLLD here tonight! We had 5" of snow the other day, how much did IN get? Sooz
Heya, how's it going? A is coming home from Dec. 30 to Jan. 10. I was surprised they let him take that much time already, but I'm not complaining (lol). I saw that Z has to go overseas for two years is that true for all MAs? Will A too? It's fine with me if he does, just wanted to know. Hey, and Happy Holidays too! Yeah, that cat IS crazy, but that's why we love him (even tho if you do not feed king Vinny when he demands, he WILL claw you (usually on the head!!!)). Congrats on selling the house - that's wonderful! Hey, move to NE for awhile and drive Z crazy! (evil laugh here) Sooz
Well, do you want that to happen or not? (lol) Hey, I've got a 26-lb. cat that thinks he's a dog that Z is welcome to (lol)! He pants like a dog, chases other cats (and some dogs), and even plays with doggy toys. He prefers dog food to cat food, but I draw the line there! He is forced to eat kitty food!
What kind of dog? My 2 dogs would love the company! The cat? Not so much! lol our dogs torture him on a daily basis (lol). And....our 2 hubbys could be grouchy together! (It's a man thing............)
Yep, these sailor boys like to keep us on our toes! A Also doesn't know and probably won't until last minute. I hope you DID sell the house, but what will you do after that? Family members to stay with? I wish we were closer, you could stay with us (and dogs, and cat and grouchy 21 year old daughter....lol)
Can you have Z all day Christmas and maybe he goes to Dad's day before or after? How's that work? We are hoping A can come home for Christmas, but he just took a four day leave a coupla weeks ago so now I'm kinda skeptical! BTW, it's COOOOOOOLLLLD out here in Ct today! Brrrrr! So much for beautiful fall weather! Sooz
Yeah, when we were moving from CA to CT, we had lots of "lookie loos" as well! I didn't like it, because our old dog wasn't "people friendly" and it became an issue! A hoping to come home at Christmas is Z planning on it too?
Dawn: I'm glad Z had the courage to call off what he is not sure of - in the long run, this is in his best interest. He is young and good looking, there will be other girls and when the right one comes along, he will be ready and willing. Any bites on the house yet? Sooz
I'll bet you are glad when the house is finally sold! Open houses are NOT fun - we went through that in CA before we moved to CT. A is doing great, working hard, taking college classes online, working with dogs sometimes, etc. He loves Navy life and is enjoying it. What does this gal of Z's do for a living? Also, are you getting excited about the wedding? Is she respectful to you? Sooz

Well now he says one more person has to approve his final chit, so who knows? I think it's still gonna happen, but........you never know. Keep your fingers crossed! Sooz
Heyyyy! A gets to come home on a short leave from Sept. 18-22nd! YAY! We are all soooo excited! He was hoping for a couple of weeks, but as far as I'm concerned, any time at all with him is good! Thanks Navy! YAAAAAAYYYYY! Sooz
