Hey Ginger, sure I will be glad to give her any information that I can. :o) Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Have her join the Undes. group. The people there are FULL of information about the Undes rate. They can answer any question that she has. Take Care, God Bless. Patty
Hi there. Thank you for contacting me! You obviously have good taste, naming you son Ryan! (I'm a Ryan's Mom too!) We'll be saying our goodbyes this weekend and I don't think any of us are going to hold up very well. We've been lucky that he's been at school nearby so we've been able to spend every weekend together. I want to learn as much as I can about the what's and where's of the adventure that lays ahead for him. It's amazing how us Mom's can be so proud and excited for our sailors but so sad to say goodbye. Thank you for being supportive. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Sandy McD
Ginger, glad to hear Ryan is on the mend! They get really stressed out about not being 100%, don't they? The maturity is amazing for sure! Thank you, Navy! lol
Ginger, I hope you don't mind if I forwarded your post about your son's back pain to mine. He is a corpsman at the clinic on base at Atsugi and very into PT and fitness as well. I asked if he had any words of wisdom to share, so am waiting to hear back. I'll let you know!
Ginger, I've emailed my son to ask if he'd be interested in some ice hockey and am waiting for his response. If it's a yes I'll let you know and we can exchange their email address through a private message. :-) Thanks!!
Ginger, my son is at Atsugi, but most of his "crew" there are attached to the USS GW!! Small world, huh? He is, in fact, postponing his leave so he can be there for the month of September while the GW is back in port. That's friendship! ;-) I'll pass your info along to him, and thanks!!
I don't know who could possibly have there nose in my business and be in touch with Chris. It's a real mystery but I have nothing to hide that would upset him. Thanks for caring and thanks for being mad for me
Im not sure yet if that means that he will be at sea or not I asked him today. I know he is associated with the George Washington. He is an AO. How about your son.
Ginger thank you for your words of encouragement. My son left Monday August 10, I just checked a package left by Fedex and found it to be my son's clothes and papers. I was totally shocked that his belongings came back home in just a few days. Saddly there was no address to write to him. I guess that will come in about 3 weeks. Will be wacthing for it in the mail.
thanks Ginger...you mean they can take leave even when they are out the Pacific.....you have a handsome sailor. Love the Parrot and who is the beautiful baby?? what a fabulous face
Thanks for the response, Ginger. Yes I think they are getting close also. Don't know exactly when. My son is a rescue swimmer with HS-14. He just turns 21 in August. He's the baby! I so appreciate communicating with some of you other mom's going through the same thing. Hope they all stay safe and secure while resting and relaxing at their next port! BTW - love your pictures!

Hey Ginger...THANKS SO MUCH for that comment you left! I thought it was me. Sorry it took a few days to get back to you. I always forget to check my personal site. LOL I actually commented on another of her posts the next day and she thanked me. Guess she was having a bad day.
awwww- that's great!!
But- I finally rec. one very short email yesterday that said he was hanging in there and his cell phone was damaged along with his laptop--KIDS!!!!!! Gotta love 'em
thanks for the prayers-they really do work!!!
I know about the middle names and how you have to draw them out for several syllables. I am a native Texan and use middle names ALOT! I know if you are from the deep south you probably refer to Texans as westerners, but we think of ourselves as southerners and have the drawl to prove it,(LOL). MM=machinist mate. I don't know how my daughter ended up there but she joined without telling me and that is what the recruiter told her to put. SHe scored like 70 on the ASVAB and since then others have told me she could have done anything, but that's how it goes. I suppose her recruiter need to make a quota on MM's for the month. She is really struggling with keeping her interest in what she is doing. Really bright but not really interested in hydraulics. I hope she will be able to change at some point. She would really like to be an MA, which I think is like a policeman. She has always been interested in forensics and crime investigation. (She's not goth or anything,,,lol). I did get the chance to ask if she knows him and she said no, but I told her to keep her ears open for the name and to say hey! I hope you have a good day as well. Thanks for the email address. I will email you and then you will have mine! Take good care.
