Boy you have some wonderiful Thanksgiving plans. I hope and pray everyhting works out. It's the most difficult going through the first missed birthdays and holidays, without our loved ones. That's great about you wanting to be around Harry's family as well.
I have some excitment. I'm sure I told you I'm deaf. Well the hearing aide is working out pretty good for my left ear. I was approved for the cochlear implant surgery, for my right ear. I'm having it done on Dec 17. I have to have it before the years out, because my husband's company is changing insurances. This new insurance doesn't approve the surgery.
I'm also active on this other website, Cochlear Community, where all the members already had this surgery. So I am looking forward to having this done.
After Christmas, I'm going to Virginia to be with Kim for a few weeks. SHe's pregnant, and the baby is due Jan 2. I've been so excited over this, I can't wait.
According to the sonogram, we're having a boy. She sent me some 3D images of him, Oh Cindy, he is gorgeous!! I can't wait to hold my little guy. This is my first grandchild.
So both Thanksgiving and Christmas it'll just be the 4 of of us. There's no family on either side.
Let me get going. My prayers are with you on getting back your pictures.

Hi Cindy, thank you sweety.they will be going back to Norfolk VA. next weekend. i wasn't sure we were allowed to give out last names on this site. i have never seen anyone do it. if we can't , i have told the kids all the well wishes and prayers the Navymom.com have said . and they said to tell you all thank you and it is very much appreicated. We finally slept good last night. i am in Fl. they are still in Utah at her mom's.
Do I see Carbondale? Lived 10 years in Mt. Vernon, graduated from SIU-C. We have a Navy hubby down your way. Please keep us updated--I hope we see you Sat. at Bloomington, but understand if you cannot come. If you need a ride from Troy, please contact me. We are only going for the day.

My lost lost girlfriend, how are you? I missed you too.
Periodicaly I'd check on you to see if your were writting again.
How is everything? Have you heard from Rob, how is he doing?
I'm doing good. My older daughter drove down to Virginia. She's been with Kim, alittle. Kim and her shipmates are going nuts working around the clock, preparing for this major inspection.
Yes I do have the A/C on ! HAHA!! But I tell you, the summer hasn't been too drastic, it did have some breeze. Now we have to go through August!!! UGH!! Is it the Fall yet? HAHA!
Let me get goiung. Tonight I have a lot of messages, and of course I'm getting up early, in the hopes of a breakfast with loverboy. My husband took off for an appointment I had, then the audiologist canceled the appoitnment.
God willing, Aug 14, I am expecting to get a hearing aide, I'm so excited over this. It would be nice to hear again. Now I'm lopsided, my right ear completley died!! Good , I'm thankful, now my hard of hearing is stable!! HAHA! For two years, my ears are been going back and forth with the hard of hearing to deaf.

I am so sorry to hear about Harry. I cried when you wrote to everyone about you not being on for awhile. That's understandable.
You never wrote that he was sick. Or was is it sudden? Either way, I pray that he didn't suffer. He's in God's heaven now.
Like everything else in life, things like this take time for emotional healing.
I did miss you alot, and kept you in prayer. Periodicaly I popped over here to check if you were writting yet.
Oh yes, a few times the Air conditioner was on!! HAHA!! It's bad enough I keel over when the temperature hits 70 degrees. but those Hot Flashes do a number on me as well!! I was hoping I was over those, no such luck! UGH!!
Even with the air conditioner blowing in my face, I'm sweating! YUCK!! I hate that feeling, as if I never showered! The Hot Flashs have gotten better over the years, but come on, give me a break!!
Everyone here is fine. Kim surprised us for Memorial weekend. Out of boredom she bought a car. Her ship is still docked, so they're all doing odd jobs. Kim said her and her fleet were all crossed trained for all the jobs on the ship. That's good to know! HAHA!
Every now and then she drives up. Last time, returning to Virginia, she finaly made it within 7 hours. I hope she memorized how she drove back. The last few times it took her 11 hours to return to Virginia
So how is Rob doing and where is he stationed now?
I wish him all the best!
I have an early day tomorrow. I get tested for a hearing aide devise implant. If I am a candidate for it, the processor is covered under our insurance. If not, a regular hearing aide is out of pocket, starting at
$ 900.
Let me get going. I am so happy to hear from you. Everyday will get a bit easier. Please keep in prayer and ask God for his help, he will relieve you, just trust in him. Life will become cheerful again. it just takes time. My prayers are with you.

Where are you from in Ireland? My mother is from Belfast (Lurgen, County Armagh) and was, in fact, raised in one of the Nazareth House orphanges.
Your Rob is quite a bit younger than my Aidan (24) and Ian (23). Aidan is the one on the Bush. Ian is still in school. Both of mine wandered a bit in college and then deadend ;-) jobs before enlisting. The Navy has been wonderful for them.

I was lucky to get one jello shot!! HAHA! They are good!! Darlene's girlfriend Bernie always makes them whenever there's a party. Those things are gone as soon as they're served!! HAHA!!
The next get together is April 5, Wrestlemania. on pay per view! HAAH!
That should be fun tomorrow with the St. Patrick's day parade. My neighborhood finaly has a parade, aout ten years now. Thre's a parade for everything else, it was about time they had a St. Patrick's day parade.!! HAHA!
Kim hid in the bedroom until everyone was here. So that was exciting for evryone. The party is still going on. There is still so much food!! UGH! ALmost everyone got caked with the birthday cake. I stayed in the living room watching cheap horror movies on the sci fi channel!! HAH!
