Joey ~ did you know our daughter's know each other? LOL Was talking to Melissa yesterday and she said Katie told her "You know, our moms talk on N4Ms!" LOL Katie is right across the hall from Melissa in Delta Barracks. Just thought I would pass that along to you.

Nice to meet another FL Mom! Love your pic. That's where I go every chance I get! I would never survive away from the beach. It's in my blood. Something soothing about the sea and the crashing waves. Where in Fl are you? How's your daughter doing so far? Have a great weekend! Karen

Joey. Hi. I thought I had written you the other day, but I don't see the comment here. We had a wonderful wedding. I posted pictures to http://photobucket.com/groomsmom and the password is bobanderin. I heard from Bobby today and he got his housing. They were able to secure a very nice two story home with a large kitchen, three bedrooms and hardwood floors. He is very excited and I am excited for him. Not bad for a 21 year old. They will move in on June 10. Luckily we have lots of extra furniture that we have been storing for just such an occasion and will have it delivered here for the movers to pick up. Erin has an Aunt in the CT area that will be giving them a queen size bed and a washer and dryer that they are getting rid of as they remodel their home. So the kids are making out really well. Bobby will class up on Tuesday and will taking morning classes from 6am -2pm. That will give them the afternoons to spend together. He will be there for at least another 6-8 months and hopefully may be stationed there for his first duty station. That would be great as he loves it there and they will be a bit settled at that point. Who knows, they may be ready for a change in that time. Glad Katie is starting school. That will be great for her and just a relief to start on the road to the next phase. Hope all is well with you. Will keep in touch. Sorry this is so long.

Joey. Wedding is over, it was wonderful. The kids are so happy and in love. Bob was home for 9 days but only had to use 4 leave days as he met with his recruiter and was able to work out something. The wedding was Friday and he was back in Groton on Sunday night. Erin will follow in a few weeks. He has a meeting with housing tomorrow and will find out when they can move in. He is not sure when school will start again. I'm in no rush as I would love him to be in Groton for a while longer. We are going to try and get up there this summer. My sister and her kids, (she and her husband were stationed up there for a few years) and my parents are planning a trip late July early August. You can see pictures on http://photobucket.com/groomsmom the password is bobanderin. Talk to you soon. Hope Katie is doing well!

Hi, I'm Becky and I see that you are in my area. I would like to be included in any Navy Mom "stuff" down here. My son Tyler is up in A school in Pensacola right now. He graduated boot camp on Jan 23 and has been waiting to be classed up (?) apparently he just got it. Please keep me posted on any events. Thanks.

Just checking in to see how the "recruiter recognition" went. I mailed cards so I didn't get to see the expression on faces. Thanks so much for joining in!

Wow she has had to wait awhile! Our tax dollars at work eh? Dre is in Italy now. We had such a great visit with him here! Three weeks! It was awesome, but now he is going on an adventure of a lifetime! He will get to go see many countries! I am excited for him, but miss him! We have Ichat or skype so we can talk to him face to face and hear his voice and it doesn't cost a thing! What a great invention! It helps alot... We are good here. How is all over your way? we will have to talk soon, just been so busy. take care and talk soon!

Joey: I'm so glad you're joining in the Recruiter Recognition "card Party". If anyone deserves a little attention it is certainly those dedicated floks! I just wanted to remind you to check with your recruiting office to make sure they will be in on Saturday....have heard that some of them may not be. You don't need to tell them why you're calling....I would just hate for you to bake, show up with their surprise, only to find the office closed! A lot of the moms that are taking "goodies" are delivering them on Friday....don't know if that works for you.

That is interesting that there is a relation there. Who would have known. Bob thinks I'm crazy for even putting the two names together. Whatever. We are doing well. Busy with wedding plans. The wedding is four weeks from today. There will be about 21 people there. We will have a supper at our house afterwards. Bob's waiver looks like it will go through. We are so pleased. He was able to meet with the opthamologist and passed his colorblindness test with his contacts. They then sent him to see a Master Chief in Sonar and he ran him through a bunch of tests without his contacts, which he passed as well and was given the green light to try and cross rate. Now we wait to see if he has enough time for the paperwork to go through before graduation on May 8. Either way, he will be in Groton for at least another year, which is wonderful. He loves it there and Erin has lots of family up there. Please don't pass too much of this along to Katie. Bob seems to get upset with me if other people know his business before he told them. He thinks I'm a bit "stalkerish". That is why I'm doing personal comments for a while, so that they aren't out there for everyone to see. I'm taking a class at the community college here. I am trying to get my AA degree. One more Math class then a few others and I should be done. We will see what comes along after that. Take care!

I am talking to Katie, she said she is related to Pierre the guy who invented the bike. She is doing ok. Ready to get her classes started and move on.

Things here are good. Just keeping busy I am taking a couple of adult ed classes. They are keeping me busy. I only have a couple more for the one class after tomorrow. The other I have 6 more weeks. I am also keeping busy getting the youngest registered for high school. We are trying for a college program in high school. I think I am going to learn alot.

I think floating some lights in the pool would be very pretty. We used white christmas lights when we got married and it looked really nice. IHow soon is the wedding again?

Hi Joey! Wedding plans are progressing. It is hard being the mom of the groom. Not much to do. I just offer my assistance and if they need anything I hope they know they can come to me. We are having the reception here at the house so I will make sure it is clean and neat and ready for decorations. I am going to decorate the outdoor deck with lights and flowers, so hopefully it will be nice. May float some lights in the pool as well. How are things with you? How is Katie doing?

Joey, are you guys related to Pierre Lallement? Read about him in a magazine lately and recognized the name. Just curious.

Hi Joey, I'm in the south florida moms group too. I saw your comments about Katie and wanted to let you know, my daughter Lauren is up in P-cola too. She's been there since Jan 29th on hold for Aircrew. That was after a month in THU after PIR! What program is Katie doing?? I saw by your comment that she was discouraged by someone classing up before her....sometimes that happens if the person is coming from another rate in the Navy. Just a little info Lauren told me when I asked her. Anyway, I'm around if you wanna chat. =) Tell Katie to stay positive. Its not easy, my kid calls and has her bad days too.

Joey, Zach is currently still in Great Lakes, they had that delay with medical losing their lab results; almost all the nukes had this happen. He was cleared yesterday and is supposed to be flying to Charleston tomorrow. I sure hope so, he is ready to go. Gina's son did make it down there already and says their class is to start the 23rd, so if its not full already he won't have long to wait.

Hi Joey, do you feel the dust is starting to settle a bit now? How far are you from Katie? I like your pictures, wasn't Chicago something to see? I grew up in Illinois and that was my first time in Downtown Chicago. What is up with all these new graduates being on some type of hold and not able to start their schools? Wow, the Navy needs more school houses and instructors I think!
