Hi Christina, u were one of my first friends and this is my second comment to u lol. Love ur pictures and hope to get to know u better. I've promised myself that i would keep track of all the people on my friends list and so here i am lol. My son is currently stationed in Norfolk on shore duty and with a new command thank god!! Unfortunately, he was hit by a a car while riding his motorcycle and is now recovering from a leg injury. How he didnt get killed in this accident is unreal but lord knows how grateful we r that God spared him. The Navy Docs think he may have nerve damage but we will see. We may not get to see him in July as may not be able to travel cause of injury. We were suppose to visit him on Friday but my husband has the flu. UUUGGG. If ud like to chat, i have Yahoo I.M. Aim and im on Facebook as well as Minette R Drew. Many Navy moms have met me there so come join me:)

hi Christine, I just met your son last night while going through the security check at the hospital. Our sons do know each other as he(my son) introducted me to your son said that I knew his(your son) mother. Sorry about the grammer in that last sentence. Anyway, I don't actually know you very well but certainly have the "navy mom connection" Your son seems like a nice man and very polite. Just wanted to let you know!!

Hi again Christine forgot to mention that we r from Randolph NY. 30 minutes from Jamestown and 1 hour from Buffalo. My husband works in Buffalo. So I think u r the first person that i've seen from NY. My son Eric has been in for 7 years and he just celebrated his 25th year april 2. Believe me when I say that after 7 years my feelings r up and down. Good days and bad days. I'm blessed to have a family to help me thru and hope that u have lots of family to love and support u on those days when ur feeling blue. Would luv to hear about how ur son is doing. Who knows maybe we know the same people in Buffalo, lol. God Bless u and ur boy & he's gonna b ok Christine:)

Hi Christine, My son is a Corpman and living at the Hospital as well. He is still in training and will then be working right at the hospital. My son wants a car soooo bad. Luckily, he does have a sailor friend who is a learning to be a chaplain on Parris Island. She is really nice and takes him grocery shopping and to softball practice etc. He also has another friend who drives him around. My husband and I are flying down at the end of April to visit and kinda take him car shopping. He keeps looking at cars that, in our opinion, are just way too expensive. He seems to forget about gas and repairs, if needed, and thinks he can afford some big payment. Really trying hard to talk him out of spending so much. Hopefully he still can listen to us parents. The weather sounds so nice down there. He went golfing a few weeks ago and saw about 5 alligators near the ponds while golfing. Kind of scary...don't they run pretty fast!? Yikes! Glad that you got back to me.

hi Christine, My son (also Brian) was in Lackland 6 mos ago and has been in Guam since then. He likes it there although he wants to see other places .
We are from Holland NY and I work in Tonawanda. I also am volunteer @ SPCA although I havent been for the past year cause my dog has been sick so I dont want to spend much time away.
Where is your sor son currently? I am hoping Brian gets to be in the states after his 2 yrs is up in Guam so we can see him although he has been calling 3 or more times a week.

Hello to all-I received a letter yesterday from Brian dated 12/07/08 (Sunday). He said that DIV 038 just got done with "Hell Week". He sounded a little stressed--did'nt have much time to write. Just found out too that his first general orders are 12/29/08 to A school in San Antonio. I just cant wait to see him 12/24/08.

Bye all

It probably depends on where you are mailing from as far as how long it takes to get there. I am mailing from Washington state and my son says it takes about 3 days to receive our mail.

Mail call is every day except Sat.& Sun. They write on Sun. So every Thurs. I get a letter. It takes about 5 or more days for them to get your letters.I hope that answers your question. Have a good day.

Hi Christine, I got your friend request with the message - and now I can't FIND THE MESSAGE!! waa haa haa

My son is so excited to be able to come home from the 24th to the 4th! AND THEN, on to San Antonio. At first (before he left) he said "mom, you can come to visit me there ONE weekend and then for Graduation". THEN, when he called the first time from BC, he said "um, mom, you can come every weekend if you want - it would be fine with me", I think I am going to go at the end of January, beginning of February - and then for Graduation. BUT I HAVE TO MAKE IT TO CHRISTMAS EVE FIRST!!!
