At 11:27am on May 4, 2009, Kristi Adams said…: Thanks Karen. My son will graduate from High School in 6 weeks. He is a third year NJROTC cadet. He signed up for the Navy last summer three days after school let out, and has been involved in the DEP program since, and scheduled to leave in late August. He is is going into the Nuclear program, and wants to be on an Aircraft Carrier.

As a mom sending off her first born, I am more sad about him leaving than I am about him joining the Navy. I know that the training and experiences he will have will be far more rewarding for him than it would be if he were to stay home and go out and get a job in the private sector, but it doesn't make it any easier to let go of him.

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
