Sorry, I wasnt ignoring you I just noticed yo uleft the comment. Honestly, I think AECF is a better choice for Kevin. Nuke is very mentally challenging but it is rather boring. I think Kevin will do quite well in the AECF program. Thats my two cents worth. If you or he has any questions give me a call 970-631-2665. I will also be home from the 22nd of June to the 4th of July. Let me know if you still wanted to get together.
Kim, I think our ETs and FC sailors can be frusterated at this early stage especially if he is sitting on hold. He may not know alot about his job yet himself. Once he starts school and learning more about it - he will probably be able to share more. They typically have four roommates in this program and none of them maybe ETs. He could be rooming with FCs, GMs or ICs. They also could be on different schedules so he may not be getting any info from them at this point either. Typically they are in GL for 5 - 8 months, much of the program is self paced so it can vary from sailor to sailor.
I have looked at expedia and priceline, etc. going 6-30 through July 6 and Navy Lodge has 30 through 3 only, but the package deals at Sofia are pretty good but I think I have to have a hotel that does shuttle and has breakfast. Don't care about pool, bar, etc. Terribly gracious of you to reach out to me.
Hi Kim, wanted to stop by and welcome you to AEXF group. Got a few sailors in your family Huh?! Wonderful! Our son is an FC, he graduated from A school in January and is deep into C school now. Hubby was also an FC for 10 years. You will find a lot of great support in the group so don't hesitate to ask questions.
Hiya . . . glad to hear you're doing well . . .
Life's been getting more hectic for me and I'm not spending near as much time here (on the site) lately . . . but all is GOOD:)!
It sure takes 'adjusting' . . . mine is currently out on deployment, so I'm VERY thankful for e-mail:)!
GIANT HUGS to you:)!
howdy! of course I am talking to you... I haven't been on in weeks! I have been working round the clock lately. We are in the time of year where if we stop to P it is a problem! How are you? What is going with you?? You have no 2 in now huh? Hope Andrew is doing well. Rusty made it to SD yesterday. He is excited. Now trying to get leave to come home. Hope that happens. :) How you?
thats so great that your son is coming home! How long will he be at home? I was on a four day vacation to Ireland with my hubby which is why I didn't respond earlier--at OHare right now waiting for our connection
I think we must be related in another world!! Andrew talks smack to his older brother even more now that he's in the military and I'm sure the testostrone will be flying when he gets hm @ the end of the month. Had also had problems with teenage stuff with Andrew. Took me and a whole army (oops, navy) of people to get him to pull his head out & get to bc, he was to go in june 08 but didn't go til Dec. He says now it's the best decision he's ever made & glad I kicked his butt!!! Gotta love that, made me cry cuz he was in bc and it was in a letter. (I will keep that letter forever!)
Hi Kim--how funny. My oldest Michael is 19 (20 in Sept). Eric (no intention of joining the military) will be 18 in June and Stephen will be 15 in June. Stephen may join the military but that remains to be seen. I'm pushing for him to go the Annapolis if he wants to do so. Michael will still beat Stephen up if he gets the chance--Stephen knows EXACTLY what buttons will set Michael off so he brings it on himself. Their last go at it was in the hotel elevator last weekend. Michael put me thru alot in high school. Two years ago I would have told you he would probably be in jail at this point so I am very proud of him. I do think having 3 girls would be worse.
HEY HEY HEY. Yes I couldn't believe it when he walked right past me. I hollered ANDREW and he turned around! lol... No they didn't mention they were getting married. sigh.. Well.. that is quick for sure. Another one in. Wow that's great. Andrew looks great! We had a great time. Want to go back in the Summer. They keep changing what Rusty is going to do so not sure if that will be a posibility or not. Take care and stay in touch!! When is the wedding? you going?

Hi Kim, When is it, I just got back in town last night and haven't looked yet to see where. and I was wondering if lil ones can come. My husband is on nights for the next few weeks and well isn't able to stay with the boys. I would love to meet all of the gang!!
