Hello Frieda! It's been a long time since we've touched base and you've been on my mind...how are you feeling? I hope you have a terrific Thanksgiving =) x0x0x0x Kathy
Hi Frieda,
I've been thinking about you and your journey with Levi and just wanted to check in and see how you were all doing. What is he up to these days and how is he doing? Is he still living at home with you? Claire is stationed in Japan on the USS George Washington and is on her 3rd deployment and is truly seeing the world...Australia, Phillippines, Hong Kong, Thailand...She'll be home for Christmas-can't hardly wait! Take care and stay in touch. I miss hearing from you. Talking to you online and over the phone always brought a feeling of peace and calmness to my soul. Just like the verse in the Bible that tells us to be still and know that he is God....(((Hugs)))
I finally got that letter yesterday. He sounds very upbeat and positive. He graduates November 13th from Parris Island, comes home for a 10 day leave and then goes to his first school. I'm not sure where that is. It's completely different from Navy but I'm getting used to it.
Thank you for that information. I did find a site where training photos are posted but it is made clear that they aren't necessarily pictures of your recruit, just what they happen to get pictures of. There are some differences in how they operate between the two training depots. Please tell your sister thank you very much and I hope her son is doing well and safe.
Thank you for the information. I am a little concerned as Will was not allowed to take his cell phone, only the clothes on his back , SS card, photo id and $20. No phone card and we were told there would be NO phone calls home at all for the three months. The clothes would go in a brown paper bag into storage and we might get a few letters. The "I am here" phone call was scripted and brief. He was yelling into the phone, sounded like he was talking to his DI instead of his mom. Maybe San Diego is different from Parris Island but so far we have found MC boot camp much more - not laid back at all. I will check out the newsletter information you sent me. Any pictures will help. Thank you so much.
Hes a nice boy. Shes happy and I guess thats all that matters. Hows Levi and Joey? My cute grandson is going back to day care and I start work thier on Aug 1st Have a Wonderful Day
How are you? I hope aqll is well. Melissa just got engaged and still loves the navy. I just spent a weekend with her in washington state. She looks good and seems to be well respected amongst her peers
Thank you for 'stopping by' to see the old gang...we were all so excited to hear from you and that Levi is doing so well. We are all so proud of him and his future looks bright!
many prayer and a huge hug!
