I think I sat in the 2nd or 3rd row up at PIR, I had my nephew with me, he is a depper and his mom thought it would be neat for him to see it. Also, with it being Christmas everyone else was kind of strapped and I think the rest of the family really didn't want me traveling alone! OMG - Palm Harbor is just south of us - we're in New Port Richey, we live on the Pithlachascotee River! If you make it down to see your mom we'll have to get together! There's a pot luck meet and greet for the Tampa Bay Area Navy Moms on March 1st in Tarpon Springs (kind of in between Palm Harbor and here). Thinking I'll go, should be interesting, one of the mom's son is a recruiter and has all kinds of insightful input!
Cool! I didn't make it to the meet n greet because our flight didn't get in until 1:30 that morning! Do you talk to your son often? Devin brought his cell phone with him and he calls me almost every day. He's been studying like a mad man he says for the first test which is tomorrow. I've heard from a few people that test isn't so bad, it's the 2nd test that a lot fail because they don't anticipate it being hard because the 1st one isn't bad! So I told Dev, no matter what your grade on the 1st one, you better study even harder on the 2nd one! Devin said he is looking into becoming a tudor or something to that effect at the night study. Other than that he's well but tired of the cold! LOL Is Jared in the same barracks? Dev said a lot of his buddies are in a different one than his.
was wondering, did your son have PIR on 12/24? Thinking he might have been in the same division as my son! 046? I know he told me that a friend Jared from 046 was also in corpsman school with him.
