How are you doing? I hope all is going well for you and your sailor! I hope you have a really nice Easter. Its always nice to keep in touch with the ones you have met on here.
Take care,

Hi Cristy My son Paul is is Div 067 Can't wait till PIR I haven't been able to even sleep. I guess I'm just so excited. The part that's gonna be bad is when he has to leave me again. I am so proud of him though!
Hi Cristy, I think our boys shipped off together. Did Josh leave 11/18? Although we live in Kingman, AZ, Jeff actually shipped from San Antonio and his recruiter was in Austin as Jeff was living in Killeen when he signed up. David Koonce was his recruiter. This is the first time I have actually had some time to spend on this site and found the div 067 group.
Safe travels to PIR!
Hi Cristy! I am so glad to see you on here. We live in Rowlett, just east of Dallas. My brother in law lives in Austin. It is nice to meet a fellow Texan. Are you guys flying to graduation?

Hi Cristy,
I just thought I would get in touch before the year ended. I hope your son is doing alright. When is his PIR? I hope it is soon and you know then that he is done with bc. I will happy for both of you. Its not fun for your son or mine when the rest of the divisioin just keeps talking and that punishes all of them. The good part is ahead! My son is at Great Lakes and starts next week for his A School. He is will be at GL for 27 to 33 weeks. He is looking forward to this. He will either be in FC (fire control where they launch missiles from aircraft carriers) or an ET (electronics) so he will be happy with either. He is just thrilled to be done with bc. I wish you a very happy 2009! I hope it will be a good year for you and your son! Take care and please stay in touch!

Christy, If you would like some extra pictures on the slideshow please email me as many as you would like. The email address is mississippi86@hotmail.com. Thank You
Oops meant to say there isn't any experience like it! Also, my youngest graduates in June and leaves in July. I have to go through this all over again...........but at least I have this website to come to. I was very alone when Todd was in Boot Camp............have fun in Chicago!
Oooohhh, I hope the weather cooperates too! When we went in January it was -4 degrees the morning we left for PIR. Takes lots of warm clothes! It was funny, we left here without coats/gloves and had to load up in the Chicago airport before we went outside.
I'm handling things better than I was this time last year. I wish this website was available back then. I cried every day and then boo-hoo'd when we took Todd back for our last visit with him in Chicago.
Todd comes home tomorrow, yippee! He will be here until the 11th. I'm picking him up at the airport but I know I won't be taking him back......too sad for me. Haven't seen him since last March. We're in constant contact, which is mucchhh better than Boot Camp. Text every day.......talk several times a week plus emailing. But that's not the same as being able to HUG him!
Have fun at PIR! I will say that there is any experience unlike it. You sit and wait and wait for it to begin. And, then when the doors raise up and the new sailors march in...........oh, I have chills just thinking about it!
Hi Cristy-My sons bunk mate is from Lubbock, Texas. It that anywhere close to Austin? I received a phone call from Tom on Sunday night. He only had 4 minutes to talk, but said he is doing great. Have you heard from Josh lately?
Hi Cristy! My son, Chris, is in the same division as Josh. I wonder if they know each other? Has your son mentioned any nicknames they are referring to him as? They call my son: "Clark Kent", "Smallville", and "Superman". HA
Please List your child or loved one and Div plus Parent names, SR 09 PIR 1/15/2009 when you get a chnace if you have not already, you can find thid on our PIR 1/15/2009 page at the top
