Kelly, For some reason you have just been on my mind lately. How are you? Did your son have leave already? Mine is coming home tomorrow. He waited to take leave until after the advancement exam today so he wouldn't have to worry about having to study and stuff while he was home.

It was a pleasure. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekend. As I said matt had duty Thursday but at 8am the phone rang "Come and get me ASAP" The rest of the weekend was great. he enjoyed his steak and cold beers. He will be home Oct 14th for a week. Hopefully we will meet again. Go Navy!!

Kelly, thanks, it's a shame we live so far apart... It was my pleasure to do the shirts and I'm always here if you need anything. I too will be keeping you & yours in my prayers. I hope your son is doing well and you all enjoy homecoming. I'm sure your nefew would want nothing less and unfortunately we have the reminder of how valuable our time is togather. Hang in there and call if you need anything.

No, we don't know where we are staying yet. I wrote to admin and asked them what hotels are in the area and if any of them will give us a discount. I'll let you know what I find out. That would be awesome if we could stay at the same hotel. I love meeting other Navy parents. I think my husband is coing with me too. I told him I was going! So I think he decided he would go too.

I was asking the other mothers who have ABH sailors on the ship if they could help me get my husbands address. He gave me all of it but not the division... Im sure your sailor will make a lot of friends considering there are SO many on the ship.

How did the send off go? I am taking mine to Conroe on Wed and Thurs at 4 a.m. going to the airport. I started getting teary today cuz he started visiting his friends overnight on Friday and then sleeping all day here. I should count my blessing, I had him for 4 days without interruption.... I knew it would happen, but it doesn't prepare you at all anyway, does it?

Dear Kelly, I grew up in Hurst and lived in Ft. Worth for 30 yrs! Anyhow, the RV park here said "normal" rates are $275.00 a mo. and he has heard of "gouging" down in the hurricane areas. Do you think thats too high? He said that sounded like a space with a furnished camper. Anyhow, like I said, its a 4 hr drive everyday, but he only needs it 3 - 4 nights a wk. So it doesn't make sense to have all bills included. I will add you and you can PM me with the details. Thanks so much for responding. Carol
