Katie, FCs go to C school when they complete A school. The C school location and length is determined by which system your bfriend gets orders to. About two weeks before he finishes A school, he will go with everyone that is about to graduate and they pick their orders. This is done based on gpa and inspections - so tell him to do a good job!!! The C schools for FCs are in San Diego, DamNeck, VA or Dahlgren, VA. They can run 3 -10 months long depend on which system he will be working on. The FCs have a six year enlistment contract because they spend 18-24 months in school.
Hey Katie, wanted to stop by and welcome you to AECF. I see Colt just had his PIR, congratulations to the new Sailor! Our son will be graduating from A school this week as an FC!!! His PIR was in April, he will be heading to C school after the holidays. My hubby was also an FC for 10 years so if you have any questions, please let us know.
hi Katie, Mitch's girl friend was over today and the last letter she got Thursday was from a sad and upset sailor. We hoped for a phone call as well, but nope. They must have been busy , or Mitch went to sicbay, ( or whatever they call it) as he said he might, to get over the crud that's going around.
It doesn't look like much of anybody got a call this week-end. So I would imagine Colt is cold, sore, and missing you ontop of it all. I guess we'll all be stalking the mailman this week. Have a good week, PIR is getting close now.

Katie,
Glad to hear you got the second letter you needed. Keep logging on to the acct to check the balance, it will tell you the amount that will go in and the post date. I didn't get a letter yet. Remember there was a holiday and it may take a few days longer. Hopefully Monday.

I saw your comment on the "stand by your man" group, and want you to know that you have my (and everyone else's on this site, trust me!) full sympathy. My husband graduates from boot camp Oct 31, and I will tell you this - the first couple of weeks that he was gone were the absolute worst. It was terrible not being able to talk to him or to hear from him. I thought I would just about lose my mind. But believe me, it got sooo much better just as soon as I got my first letters from him! It took 2.5 weeks to get any, but since then my moods have just been so much better. Letter writing really is romantic, even when the topics aren't! I write to him at least once a day, and I send him pictures of me/us that I know are his favorites - that's something he really likes. We all know how hard this is, but we're all here for you! This site is great that way, I'm glad you found it!
