Wow girl, has it really been since July since Matt has been home - yikes, I'd be crazy by now. You may have to play momma bear when those boys come home---- Yeah, yeah those MM are a tad different, I forget the terminology but heck if he is classing up - that is a really good thing! I think Nick might be home about that time too ...last stop before THE ship! Is Matt hearing anything about orders yet? We are not but Nick said he might know something in June - it will be, whatever it will be. I HOPE John doesn't look at your page and see...Matt's photo! LOL Looking forward to a fast but sweet weekend with the kids home. Have a great Memorial Day Donna if we don't chat before hand.
Hi, Donna......so good to hear from you! Your PIR pics turned out great, especially when 182 came thru the door & you captured John :-) What a neat weekend that was! Ruthie just called & is continuing to really like Navy life. She sounds happy & content & enjoys what she is doing (they are getting some more basic stuff before MM school actually starts). She was able to get into Chicago over the weekend & colored her hair back to blond, so she is pleased to have been able to do that. They had a fire drill the other night ( sounded like a prank) so standing outside in the pouring rain gave her her cold back :-( She has e-mailed a few times & will call more frequently with her cell which arrives tomorrow. I miss texting her! From your pictures it looks as if you 3 had a wonderful weekend there in GL. It truly is a beautiful campus....the Navy must be so proud of it. That's all for now....take care, Donna :-)
Hey Donna :)
It's good to hear from you. How was your last PIR? Sorry to hear John was Grad n Go, I didn't think they were grad n go if they were going to A school across from BC. Kyle was put on hold possibly for 9 months, hopefully John doesn't run into that. We plan on making a trip out to see him if his holds that long, besides it will give me a chance to see FL. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for August, how nice to have them all home again, together. You deserve that!!
Hi Donna I like your picturs too. My pictures of ceremony did not turn out to well they were all darl. Luckily the camcorder looks better. I hope you are doing well We are keeping our fingers crossed for some Liberty next weekend Blake is taking extra calss today and had to write essay on why he thinks he deserves Liberty for the Memorial Day weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed... Talk to you soon
Donna - we had a great time even though we only got 40miinutes with Dan before he had to be back to catch the bus. He is in Groton, Ct at school-basic school now then A school then hopefully a leave. Says he will be there one year. Studying for missle tech for submarines. So wanted to meet you but just couldn't find you. Dan looked great and seems so happy and proud and excited - it was the best mother's day present. Now with more freedom at school we can stay in contact more - just want him to still stay focused on studies and his purpose. How about you and yours? Peace, Diane
Of course he looked amazing! Did you expect anything less?!! LOL I have yet to see Nick in his whites -- perhaps he will wear them home for Memorial Day(?) It's been crazy at my house, cleaning, painting, etc.etc. Daughter is due to come home from college today so lots to do before the house is put back together. Hope to be normal by the weekend!
CONGRATS!!! How was your trip! So excited to hear about it. I am sorry I didnt get to get on and wish you luck before. I am traveling for my company and have been very busy. Things should slow down now. Details details... Rusty leaves for Point Loma on the 19th. He is very very excited. I will give you more details later. .dashing to appointment! No rest for the weary! Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day :)
Hi Donna! I was so glad you introduced yourself the other day. We only had 45 minutes with Blake at Graduation. We went to the airport to wait with him for a couple of hours. I did get to go down to Pensacola Sunday and spend Mothers Day with him. Im going to have keep myself from smothering him. His girlfriend is going this Saturday. Me and Zach are going Sunday. He has Liberty on base until 9:00.
Hi Donna. I'm sorry too we didn't get the chance to meet. Yes, they looked amazing. We really enjoyed it. It was hard to let go at the airport. We only had 3 1/2 hours of visit time. Keep in touch. Take care.
I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back. I'd love to go see it one more time, it's such an incredible, and emotional experience. Kyle hasn't started school yet, he's on hold for up to 9 months. Enjoy today, hug your sailor...Happy Mother's Day.
So how's those bleachers feeling this morning?!!! I am can feel the anticipation from here - so exciting for all those NEW sailors waiting to march in and impress their families...and impressed they will be!!! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!

Ms. Donna! I'M SO EXCITED!! I've been packed for 2 weeks! LOL! Really though... I have. Ha! I fly out early in the morning. So now is just trying to concentrate at work tonight (I'm a youth minister - I'm going to be just as wired as they are tonight - LOL) There's NO way I'll sleep at all tonight! Ha! My parents and Caleb weren't thrilled about the idea of me going to Flannagans by myself, but I will DEFINITELY look for you at PIR - I'll be there at the crack of dawn so we'll have time to chat :) YAY! I'm ESTATIC!!!
HI Donna. I don't know where Flannagan's is. Do you have a address and phone #. Please let me know by today if possible. We are leave at 4:00 a.m tomorrow. Thanks:)

Mother’s Day Blessing
Just as God gives to each rose
A gentle touch of dew
And gives unto each evening sky
The lovely sunset’s hue
So may he give to you
From his enduring love
Great happiness and hearts’ content
And blessings from above.
Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day from Brenda S., aka, Sailor Moon
