So nice to see your comments on my page, I've been meaning to drop you a note or ...six! Checked out all the photos on fb -- felt like I was there with you! Wasn't it just wonderful being there fo homecoming? I WILL be a Nick's homecoming but it will be a little while before they go out as they are doing some upgrades before their next deployment. They have gone out in the bay for a few nights here and there but that's it so far. I know you are going to enjoy having Matt home as long as you can. Yes, closer is better ---------- but heck gives me a great place to go vacation!!! xoxoxo
Hmm, what can I say? he's on the USS Blue Ridge and seeing lots of great ports, but not getting off the ship. ?? Hates going with a buddy that all they want to do is drink and go to strip clubs. He doesn't drink or smoke, etc, and is SO shy, it may take a while for him to find a port buddy... He loves his job (FC-CIWS) and they'll be going back to Yokosuka soon. I don't understand - he said he joined to see the world, but he's staying on the ship when they have liberty. Oh well, I have to let him live his life...
I was wondering if Mathew was done with his C school in San Diego and what he's up to now? That must have been a long time ago since John had BC in May.... Carol
Donna...Tim is just sitting in GL waiting for the word that he can go home. He is very ready to leave GL. He hasn't heard anything about when he has to report to Norfolk. It is still the hurry up and wait game! Thanks for asking.
how will i know if my son is graduating, i have book traveling and hotel. but i an getting discourage about this hole thing. and sad at the same time. please write to me. thank you
Wow...Tim is a MM too! You know the navy...hurry up and wait. Tim is done school on Wednesday, but still doesn't know too much after that. He said that there is a chance they will fly him out for a month or he will stay in Norfolk and wait for the Bataan to get back. I'll keep you posted. If he gets to join the Bataan, I will definitely want to be there too. Does it come back in the beginning of December??
Hi Donna, I just read your bio below. My gosh, you are my hero! You have done a fine job, raising three boys who have such a respect for our country..we are so lucky to have them serving this country. I wish everybody had such respectful kids!!!
So sorry, I'm here but haven't been on line for the past week........I'll be back on tomorrow and will respond to your email. But all is well here ---- good at your house too???
I love your photos, music, and comments. Very touching. My daughter PIR on 8/28 she is 18 and Im soo very proud of her. She is a bit homesick we live in California and she is on hold for OS A school at GL. I told what she is doing is not easy, being a soldier is a sacrifice. She has not completed school yet or deployed but she has sacrifced living at home to go an d serve her country our country...Thanks so much for this site it has been a blessing!!!!

Yes Donna, I'm aware of what the "beatings" actually mean, but this woman is on my group as well, and I'm telling you she starts strange conversations...I just didn't want her causing the new BC moms any more concern than they are already going through. The way she posted the comment was as if it was factual. Even though a lot of us know that is not true, there are a lot of very worried Moms/loved one's who don't know and I just thought it better to remove the post rather than allow a false rumor to get started.

So nice to hear from you Donna. So glad your boys are doing so well. Dan will be in CT for some time - has this short school then think his "A" school for at least a year - not sure about any leave he has - he never gives me information - not a good communicator! But seems to like it and enjoying it which is what I had hoped for. Please stay in touch - I miss him and don't hear enough from him so it's nice to hear from you. Have a beautiful day, Diane
