hey Kim Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Hope its a great day.
Richard also went out on a field excercise at Hunter liget. He said it went well just hated the not having a shower deal. He put fabric softener in every zip lock with his clothes so they would smell good even for a little while. Richard is hoping to come home for Christmas so I am really looking forward to that. Will Joseph be coming home for Chrismas as well? Have a great holiday
Hi Kim How great that you get to see Joseph I hope you guys had a great weekend. The weather sure is great for the beach. Richard is doing great he says that he has so much work/training going on at the moment. He's happy. A couple of his friends have been deployed and he seemed a little quiet about it but I am sure it will only be temporary. I guess they are all brave most of the time but little cracks so up from time to time. I know that he has no regrets and still loves his choice. How much more time does Joseph have in A school? You guys enjoy your trip.
Hi there Kim, It is so great to talk to some one who actually knows Richard that is so cool!! Richard did tell me he went to ship island and had a great time. Thank you for sharing your precious time with your son with mine to. Will Joseph be going to Port H as well. I do hope so.
Wish you the best Mothers Day. Denise
I know it's crazy. We are renting a van for the 13 hour drive, wow 13 hours with 2 teenage boys doesn't sound like fun! Just kidding they keep themselves entertained with the invention of the i pod. I got my first letter yesterday, I was so excited, then disappointed because it wasn't as long as I wanted it to be. I talked to his recruiter today, he said we "might" get a phone call on Sunday!!!!! I would be beside myself. I haven't ever gone this long without talking to him. It's driving me crazy!!! He sounded good in his letter. I wanted him to say "I need my mommy" ha ha didn't happen. Guess he is all grown up. But, I bet he has thought it a few times just probably wouldn't admit it. We are the protectors after all.
i am driving the mailman crazy. he is now dropping the mail as quickly and as queitly as possible. yesterday the dog didn't even know he came. I guess he never had a child in boot camp.
Hello, they do get personal time on Sundays. However their 1st Sunday they don't get much. Or so other parents have told me. I'm still waiting for my first letter. Not the form letter with two lines but a real letter. God willing it will be soon.
I got Mikes naval credit union letter yesterday. I dont know if I should keep it or mail it to him. Do you think they need it? Also, he had a checking account already too and I sent checks with him and his debit card so I am unsure exactly what he has done.
Hi Kim, my son, Jacob graduated from GL in 2002 and he used regular phones and pay phones to call home....same with my daughter, Brandi when she went there in 2004...you can buy calling cards from safeway or walmart...750 minutes for about $30.00.....and give him the numbers over the phone or mail the card.....also, if you get a chance to attend the Pass in Revue ceremonies, please do! It is an incredible ceremony and will bring tears of pride and joy to your eyes...and your child will never forget how you took the time to come......good luck to you and your son....Juanita
