Marie,
i was re-readng some older posts around the site and came across your old old post about your daughter struggling in Bangor. How's she doing now? You see, I ask because my son continues to 'hit walls' after a year there. Says morale is low and it's rough to stay positive. Any advice?
Wow the group has really grown, I haven't been on for awhile as we have been remodeling and it has taken so much attention. Glad to see it is doing so well but then Hey, We Have Marie, right? How are you and how is Tory?
Someone I know has been working 24 hours a day for two weeks with 2 hour breaks here and there, any idea what in the heck is going on???? Sorry, can you tell I am stressed?
Hi. just got your message. I haven't been on my N4M page in ages! I appologize for the delay! I have much to read and catch up on. It seems there was a N4M luncheon here in my hometown and I didn't even know it! Geez. Do you get to see your daughter often?
Yep Married, He came home at Christmas proposed to her and was married May 24th in Florida, He is now counting the days till he gets to come home, and yes she is a local girl who graduated from MP in 08. She is a sweetheart I see why Casey fell in love with her. Glad to here Tory is doing so well and comes home so often, I think this might make it harder on us when they do go on deployment cause we will be so spoiled it will be like boot camp all over Oh how I never want to do that again... Im sure Casey will be at the house a lot being he is 2 minutes from us He is so excited and counting down the days. (ME TOO!!!) .

Hey Marie, Long time no talk, How is Tory doing? Casey is still in Florida for another two weeks finishing up schooling after being on hold for the past nine months. Then he will be going to Everett, to be on the Lincoln...YIPEE!!! Can hardly wait to see him it has been a long six months but in that time he has gotten married, and him and his wife who is also from here will be living in the Navy housing in Smokey Point..... he sure grew up a lot in a year hard to believe but oh so proud... As Im sure you are as well..
Just thought I'd stop in and say hi! I still rarely post but have been a constant "lurker" on N4M. I just wanted you to know I will always appreciate how warm and welcoming you were to me during the Boot Camp trauma. I will keep you, your family and especially your Sailor in my prayers.
Been off computer a while. Family stuff. But am so wanting to fix his problems out there. He is doing a bunch of stuff, trying to have fun, an MA3 has watched over him and has been a huge help. Thank you for your input and offering to help. I find it hard to keep up with the groups lately. I'm gone so long that I lose track! LOL
Question: Do you know if they are physically unable to complete the PRP training if they get their MA status removed or just the PRP status?
So glad to have you join our group. Do you know someone on this ship? Hope all is going well for your daughter. Does she like her job? My son is an HT on the ship as well as a firefighter. This is all new to him but he seems to love it. He called from the ship this morning which was quite a surprise. It was so good to hear his voice. These emails run slow after you get used to being able to call and text. Let me hear from you now and then.
Hi, I am doing fine and Kristi is doing good now that she has her car!!!. She did call tonight and she did make it through the whole OC course. She was very happy and then they did some boxing, so she feels a little beat up. I told her to go sit in the whirlpool. So how is Tory and does she like her job? Kristi said she has about 3 weeks left of training or orientation (i would call it a free gym membership).
Hi Marie, My son is an SK with the SEAL Delivery Team One in HI, he will be going to Keyport for a month with the SEALs providing support and any supplies they require while they are training. Do you know anything about the area there? What does your daughter do as an MA?
I noticed you were in the USS Bainbridge group, do you know someone on that ship? What a fantastic bunch!!!!
My son has been in 4 1/2 years, reupped this past summer, he is a Petty Officer 2nd class. He wore his fancy dress uniform and medals for a ceremony when he was home over Christmas. The medals include Navy Achievement, Good Conduct, National Defense, Global War on Terrorism, Expert Rifle, Expert Pistol.
Hi Marie - Stopping buy to say hi. How is it going?
How is Tory liking her duty station. My beast is enjoying his life. He is still waiting to class up. He did get to ride in a helicopter this week. He was playing a rescue victim for another class. He just can't believe he gets paid for this.
Hi Marie,
re: pillowcases. I have 21 to mail for April. Do you still have your 7 made?
if yes, please hang on to them. After this weekend, I should have a firm answer to the special project that I mentioned to you before.
