I'm still here! Just taking things easy since the surgery. I'm doing great by the way... still getting in/out of chairs slowly and delicately. No driving for another week, but Rhonda said she'd pick me up for Westies next Monday. I'm really looking forward to seeing ya'll again! Hugs, k.
Thank you for the welcome. My son actually leaves tomorrow for Boot Camp. I am very happy to have found this group, I look forward to contributing in anyway that I can.
i also pointed out to her the last security report from the local college. More problems than the one incident reported in the news r/e to the navy. I told her to realize that the media of late does not just report facts anymore, it is usually to serve an agenda. she is ok now. Stilll working out and excited about november. thanks for the reassurance.
I think it would be good if she got more active in something. She is working week-ends, working out at local hospital. News show today about navy hazing has her a little upset. Did you see news report? it was on CNN website.
I will keep encouraging jaz to get in shape. i ride my bike beside her(can't jog that well). She is getting tired of waiting. wants to just go. it is more nerve racking to wait than actually going. I will look on groups for deppers. i am not very good with computers sometimes. i am going to try to scan picture. I will let jaz know what your son said about boot camp. Thanks
Jasmine will be going to A school at Great Lakes. She is in Advanced tech. and computers. She is a little nervous about boot camp and the tear gas but has been working out and trying to get in shape.

Thank you so much for meeting with MaKayla, Megan and I. You are a very pleasant person and you gave us a lot of good information. Hope to get together again after MaKayla leaves. Thanks again!!
Thank you for your response to my question about the Navy Nuke program, My son is still in a position of making his choice. I feel this is the right match for Josh. He was already taking College courses in engineering including calculus.
I know the decision is my sons I had to make decisions for him for years when he was in school and I want to just inform him on this one and let him make his own choice. I believe he will do well.
No need to apologize. It's good to hear from someone who is currently living through this. My son just got his ASVAB scores back on Friday - not so great! He is definately not a test-taker. Thanks for the info and please keep in touch.
Pat, my friend is Sharon from San Francisco. Her son is home until Oct 17, then going to Guam. It does seem like a coincidence. I don't think he has been assigned a boat yet. My son is out on deployment. They were in Guam for 5-6 days maybe. He did go sight seeing. He worked mostly since he is the junior officer. I am going to pm you and Sharon, although she hasn't been on this site for awhile. I'll call her by land line phone too. She and I both live in the Northern California Bay Area. Thanks.

My husband goes to work Monday at 6p and Tuesday at 6p. So if you wanted to get together either of those two nights would be great. I would like for MaKayla to join us if that is alright with you. Let me know where, what day and time.
