If you have any questions I am here for you. Whenever you get settled and can get those knitting needles out give me a heads up. I have wonderful ladies here willing to donate the yarn to make the blankets/afghans. I could hook you up with one of them. In the meantime, don't panic. You are a Navy mom, we can handle anything. yes they looked so great! i think we were sitting like right next to yall? but i got a phone call too at 4:55 this morning! it made my day, but im hoping he will get to call me tomorrow or at least tonight. Where did mike go for A school? Steven went to Pensacola Florida.
Hi, My son, Travis, graduated from Jackson in 2006. His A school was in Gulfport, MS. We live in Shawneetown, that's only a few miles north of you.

I understand that your son is nuc and electronics. So is my son. He has been at GC for about four weeks and is really enjoying it but its hard. He likes the challange and is planning to go sub too.

My Mike is in Division 390 and said the copy he got of his orders said they have to arrive by 10/27 for classes on 10/29. I also would love to hear from other moms. Are you going to the Meet and Greet. We won't get there until about 9:00 Thursday night but are going to come and hope some folks are still around. Good Luck to your Mike and congratulations Mom!!

this website under videos, its called the parade of colors. I got 3 phone calls today from steven!!!! i cant believe it! it was amazing and he finally talked to his mom after 9 weeks! He called me the first time around 6 for 20 min. then around 630ish cuz he had to call his mom, and then he called me for 5 more minutes. and then he had to go cuz the RDCs made them leave or something? and then they went back to Recruit heaven and he called me again for 30 min! i loved every moment of it!!! i cannot wait now until PIR!!!
Yeah for the Phone Call!! Like you said, I think they're more eager than we are for PIR and to move on to their next assignments (adventures!). We are so fortunate to be getting the calls....my heart breaks for the Moms who still haven't heard from their sons/daughters over the past couple of weeks. It helps to hear from other Moms who HAVE heard as it gives a great sense of hope to those who haven't. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great evening and we'll see you Thursday! *hugs*
And as for name tags....gosh I hope thats more than enough! LOL! We'll be spilling out into the parking lot! LOL! The meeting room will hold @35 and there is a BBQ/Picnic area outdoors (weather permitting, of course) and I expect attendees to just flow in/out. I'm excited! Thanks so much for taking care of that. I've got the Sign-In Sheets/Address Swap papers ready to go and print. We're almost there! Please travel safely...

i know im soooo excited!! and i even found him on the website earlier today in the videos...(colored parade of flags) i was so happy to see him! =] and i get to see him in person in 3 days! yay lol
Cathy, not a problem. I don't know the logistics of the passes but I believe they need to give the name of the sailor they are there for, so, my son is Sr Foutz (out with an F in the beginning and and a Z at the end) Cody, he is in Div 859, USS Arizona (Ship 14). I will let people know I only have one pass left.
Hi, Cathy! I am so excited! I really can't believe they are bunking right next to each other. Won't it be great if they can room together! My cell # is (309)824-6742. My Husband's name is Rick. Our last name is Worth. What is yours? I only get to be up there Thurs evening & all day Friday because I had a trip planned a year ago & it leave on Saturday morning. My Hubby & other son are going to stay all weekend. Dan's also got another friend coming up, his ex-girlfriend/girlfriend (they are friends still but I'm not sure how close), possibly a cousin, grandparents & his brother's girlfriend. We'll probably chill at the hotel for most of the day on Friday. I'll definitely be going down to his A school graduation even if no one else goes. I'm excited that they will be coming home for Christmas. Well I've got to go but talk with you later!
Hello Cathy, My son is div 948. SR Meredith. He is headed for San Antonio (MA). My daughter will be in Pensacola in about 6 weeks (AM) and her fiance' is there now (IT). We were there this past weekend and wow what a great facility!! Are you going to PIR? Meet and Greet? Hope to see you there! It's gettin' close!!
