Oh Nancy - you and I should have a glass of wine and a chat together - I am a caretaker too and suffer from all the emotions and confusion that go along with it. Too bad I am in WI any you are in NJ - so perhaps a virtual chat will have to do.
Me elderly parents - oh - where would I start.......
Hi Nancy, what is the web site for the news letter, i talked to my son, and hes supposed to give me the web site for the Buch, but we are going camping next week leaving Tues, so if possible i would like to send it to his grandmother, hes busy looking for property when he retires, , and they r looking for us to, so we can be near them adn our grandbabies :-). have a safe Hoilday.
Nancy,
I'm glad you like to see my smiling face, I like to see yours too. It has been a rough coulpe of days and I am just trying to get past all the negative stuff. I am going to just sit back and watch for awhile and keep my comments to myself and just let things cool down. If you would like you can email me at mepeller@bellsouth.net. I also send out a verse of the day and if you would like to have it sent to you just email me and I will add you to the list.
Nancy, I am from Meridian Moms and wanted to wish you and your Sailor good luck! My father is a VET if WW2 and we sat together and watched the dedication of that beautiful new carrier. That was spectacular! Seeing all those Sailors running on-board and onto BS was so cool!
Also, remembering the Cole and I have a feeling our Pres. will not let those awful terrorists go unpunished. What I found amazing is that we are all still waiting for Justice for that, and that many of those involved got away in Yemen. I hold that thought, and the thought of those towers whenever I feel my resolve slip a bit. God Bless America and please, thank your son for his service.
Hello and welcome. I live in Pomona almost around the corner. My son graduated bc May of 2006, it was wonderful. We stayed at the Navy Lodge. He is now on a ship out of Norfolk. We went out to see him again during A school. In Sept 2006. Stayed at the Navy Lodge again. It was very nice, spent three days with him. It was a holiday weekend.
You will have about 15 minutes after pass and review, then you will exchange contact information, he will go back to his ship, get his stuff together, and go check in at the Naval Service Training Command across the street, if that is where he is going, and then you should be able to spend the rest of the weekend with him after he checks in. The check in process can take a few hours. If he is transferring further away, you will probably have a few hours with him after PIR, then they will need to get him on a bus to get to the air port in time for his flight.
We are in Iowa so not nearly as far as you! We are staying at the Marriot, flying in Thursday night and leaving for home Sat afternoon. If it turns out that they are not grad n go that plane may leave without me. Ben is going to Pensicola Fl for 14 weeks and don;t know where after that. He is in cryptology. We are all new at this so we are very grateful for all the info we can get. :) What is your sons field? Tanya
Hi Nancy. My son is ship 10 div 001 and he says he is grad n go. I am hoping it turns out not to be true, but . . . we'll plan on going to the airport. I am wondering if he can take his cell to A school? Am getting both answers on here.
