Sorry I haven't gotten back with you as of late. Glad to hear that Joe and Michelle have put a bid on a house up in Michigan. Does it look like they will get it and if so how soon will Michelle be moving back home. What kind of Shore Duty will Joe be looking for. Chris will be getting his orders soon as to where he will be going( I hope). The reason I haven't gotten back with you is it has been a very bad week. One of the kids that Chris went to school with was killed in Afganistan and they sent his body back. Went to the funeral yesterday and cried a lot. I knew the family because the boys played ball with Chris. Chris was close with the one brother. The family has three boys in the Army and the Father is in the Reserves. So it has been a very trying week for me.
Sheryl, Chris and Liz have put their place up for sale and are starting to pack things up. He is hoping to get shore duty soon, thinks that they will be moving around the end of December or first of January. I can't wait as that will make them about 4hr closer for me to travel. They will be up in New York and on the Map Quest it is about 9hr and 17min. Well can't think of anything else to say so will close for now and write when you can.
Sheryl, so how was the visit and has Joe changed much. Every time Chris comes home I am surprised at how much he has grown (not in weight, but in growing up). Would like to go down there for Thanksgiving but don't know if they will be out or if Liz will be coming up( if they are out). Just have to wait and see. I did change jobs and it is ok but decided that as soon as I can I will go back into retirement, just getting to old for this. Talk at you later, Norene
Hi Sheryl. Sorry it's taken me so long to accept your friend request. A lot going on. My son is coming to Texas on leave this Friday for 2 weeks and then he's on to Kings Bay, GA. He is really excited about his new duty station. I haven't seen him since his graduation in March so I'm really excited about his visit.
Hey girl haven't heard from you so I thought I'd drop you a line or two. I see we have a new member to our little group, Lisa and her Son will be joining the Blue Crew in about 6 weeks. How was Joe's visit? Bet he and family was glad to get home for awhile. For some reason I can't seem to get any pictures on my site again, but yes my little Granddaughter is cute and Allan is as handsome as ever. Liz said she is up to 13 lb now. I'm getting a different job, can't do my job anymore at Step 2, I hurt to much to continue. Will be working a new job cleaning offices, 8 hr a day 5 days a week at the same pay I am getting now. Hope you had a GREAT time with Joe and Michelle and family.

Hey I haven't heard from you in awhile so I thought I'd drop you a line or two. Chris and Liz had the little one. She weighted in at 9lb and 13oz and was 21inches long. Had some bruising around the head and face but is doing fine now. Allan isn't quite sure of her yet, but is warming up to her now. He gave her a kiss today and then went on his merry way. Chris just heard that he got 1st class. He is hoping to get Shore Duty soon, hope he does then he will be closer to family, later
Yes she is about 5 yrs old and really good with Allan. Allan can be a pistol with the dog. If he gets to rough with her, she gets up and leaves. Have you checked out the Florida group yet? I put that artical in from the Kings Bay Periscope. Hope you like it. Genia made comment to me about our group and also said about some of the Guys going to Banger Washington for some training. Has Joe said anything about it, Chris hasn't said anything about it! And then the training may not pertain to anythings our guys do! Later Norene
Sheryl, I did it, I finely figured out how to put a picture of my son on the web site. They showed me how to do that yesterday at our Navy for Moms meeting. I was able to put the one picture on of the Florida so I figured I would try it here and it worked. My Son is the one on the left and that is his wife beside him. That was when he was doing schooling at Goose Creek
Talked to the kids the other day and they told me they are having a little girl. They are back down there and back to the some old stuff. Chris said they had a lot of drill they have to do and alot of stuff they have to learn. What have you heard for Joe? One of the kids from work is going to join the Navy so I told his mom to check out this web site as it will answer alot of her questions. I think his recruiter is not being straight with him. He thinks he will do basic and then go down to Norfolk and be on his brother-in-law's ship. It doesn't work that way. I told his mom there is a good chance he will end up down at Mayport, if he gets the east coast. I also told her if he did end up down in Mayport I would give him Chris's number as Chris knows the in's and out's and would help him. Well hope to hear from you soon as always Norene
I was just getting ready to write you and ask if you talked to Joe. Chris and Liz left this morning and I wasn't able to say Bye this morning as I had a meeting I had to be at. I said my Goodbyes last night. Miss them already! Chris said the Boat's photographer would have them. They where taken when they where doing missle launches. That was neat to watch also. Maybe Joe can get you a copy of that too. If Joe can't maybe we can get together and I can show you or send you a copy Your son looks like a very happy-go- lucky guy. Chris said he was really nice. I showed him the other two guys and he said he knew them also. Where you down there when they recommissioned the Boat. We where aloud to go on the Boat at that time. I'm not really sure, he may have gotten it from the ship as they have taped alot of stuff. He may have gotten it from the ships photographier. Ask Joe when you talk to him if he can get one. There are other things you can see. Chris showed me one where they had launched missles from the sub, it was really neat and how they tracked the missle to it site. I ask Chris if he knew Joe and he said yes. He said Joe was an all right guy. I asked him if he knew the other two guys and he said he was pretty sure who they where but really only knew their last name. I haven't had a chance to show him the other two guys from their mothers site. When I looked up the guys on the sub you have a nice looking son. Chris uploaded a CD of all the guys from the Blue Crew so I was able to look up your son by the last name on his jumper. Well take care and enjoy this lovely weather we are having. Sheryl I almost forgot to tell you Thank You for telling me about the KingsBayPeriscope. I went on line and checked it out. Liz said they can get it all the time and didn't think to look in it this time for anything on the Flordia. She said they have all kinds of stuff on the activities from the base. She said it comes out at least once a month, will have to put that web site on my favorite list so I can check it out more offten. Take care and have a very good day Norene
Sheryl got a phone call from Chris around 6:30 or 7:00 this morning and he said they had just landed in Jacksonville and was waiting for their bus ride up to the base. Hope Joe calls you. It means so much just to hear their voice. Well have to go and am glad the Guys are back in the States.
Sheryl, have you heard from the guys yet. Chris should be up here Tuesday, can't wait to see them, Chris, Liz , and Allan. Is Joe coming home or just staying down there and relaxing? Later and am glad they are home
Sheryl hope you hear from Joe himself. So his birthday in on the 24th, Chris's is on the 25th, isn't that funny. Hope they both have a very happy Birthday. We plan on celebrating Chris and Allan(his son) birthday when they get up here in a couple of weeks. Good to hear from you again
Sheryl just got a phone call from Chris so the Guys are back at base. I got a little teary eyed when I heard his voice and I think he got a little teary eyed too. I have meet two other mothers from the Florida. Tracy and Genia have you meet them. Now I know at least three Moms from the Florida. Our guys should be home soon. I ask Chris if he knew Joe and he said yes. How could they not know each other, there aren't that many guys on the Boat. Talk to you later, have to let everyone know I heard from Chris
Sheryl, guess what, we may be hearing from our BOYS very soon, can't say when but soon. How is the weather? I haven't been home yet so I don't know how it's been up there.
