Good Morning Gabby, the phone calls were great and very unexpected, got to ask Kalab many unanswered questions finally. You said you were getting in around 4, does that mean you are going to the meet and greet? Let me know so we can finish up plans. Can't believe this week is already here, so much to do and get ready. Not nearly enough time in the day!!! Were planning on leaving Ohio around 8 a.m. as soon as get home from work. It is about a 7 hour drive. Well talk to ya soon, Trista

Hi Gabby, Kalab was listed as a grad and go but the other day his orders changed, were not sure yet what is going on. He now doesn't start "A" school till the 13th at great lakes, so not sure if he will be moving over there on friday or will have to stay at bootcamp for a extra week. If he has to stay at bootcamp for that week he will not be able to spend the night with us over the weekend. If he moves to "A" on friday then from what I have been he will be able to stay with us overnight. Like i said before not sure what time we will get in but hopefully we can make it to flann. on thursday evening.

Hi Gabby - I just read your comment about being all emotional again. I'm glad I'm not the only one......it's a lot like when my daughter first left - I cry at anything/nothing. Congrats on making it to the home stretch and congrats to your daughter. It won't be long now (it will just feel like it :-) Take care.

Well, she has been in Pensacola since graduation in January and finally starts school May 4. She will be there quite a while since the Navy put a freeze on everything. Getting her car transported there for her has been a
pure hell.... waiting for it to get picked up and hoping they don't run off with it LOL

Questions about DEP are most definitely welcome.

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings
