Lynda, hows Kevin doing? I just moved to Great Lakes and Brian has got his live ashore approved and is happy to be able to get off base. He is just finishing his 1st of 3 classes and hopes the hold for the 2nd one isn't too bad. otherwise things are going well.
O.K. Allen is EM I had to ask someone. I can not remember all these things. I tell every one I am getting old but they dont belive me, now you do, dont you.?
My son, I think likes it O.K. he would not let me know if he did. So for his grades are goood. I hope he keep it up. He went to a BBQ last night. on base. I can not remerber his rank is there a EM or ME I think it das some thing to do with Elec. When he was in BC he said he got his 1sr choice.
Lynda, When did your son get to GC. My son got ther on 5-24 he started class on 6-6. So far thing are going good for him and I hope and pray that he kep it up.
Lynda,I saw your message to Sue, I did not get to meet her eather. One night at the Navy Lodge there were two women talking, one walked off and said see you Sue. I asked are you the purple pig. She looked at me like I had lost my mine. She had not been on NFM and did not know who Sue was. I told her about Sue and she did not kill me.
Hi Linda, we had a wondeful time. I am very happy for my son, he has changed a lot but for good of course and he is very positive about his future. He still is the very warm, loving and candid person but his vision about life changed. He called me yesterday and I already sent him his phone and Ipod. This is the complete address:

Hi Lynda, I'm glad you saw me and we were able to say HI. Hope you had a good time with Kevin. Brian said Kevin was nice enough to help him with his laundry duties some times. Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Hi Lynda,
I just wanted you to know that our family will be staying at the Residence Inn.
Also, Debbi from "248" will be staying there too. I was away for a few days, and have been trying to catch up on all the "chat", :)
Hope to see you there, it has been so nice to meet so many other moms on this site.
Take care,
Donna (Eric's Mom, 248)
Hey Lynda:
Just wanted to wish you a HAPPY PIR WEEK! I know how excited you must be as my daughter is so excited she can hardly sleep! She heads to Chicago on Thurs. and will stay thru Monday as Derek ships out to Monterey, CA on Tues. She's hoping for 'the call' tomorrow, too. Here's wishing you a safe and happy trip. I've enjoyed chatting with you tremendously via this site. I hope we can still continue to keep in touch once our boys graduate BC.
Warmest regards,
Shawn :-)
Lynda, I asked a question in the Boot Camp group about how Battle Stations on Friday and Saturday related to the Captain's Cup which is on the Saturday before PIR. Jacqueline Manning replied that there are no Battle Stations on Friday or Saturday. Just passing this information along.
Hi Lynda, Thanks for posting the dates regarding Battle Stations. I saw the information for 245 and 246. My son is in 246, however, I received a letter today but he did not mention anything about BS. I am talking with two others with recruits in 246 and they haven't been told this information either. Just wanted to update you regarding this. Thanks!!
Hello, got 2 letters today he said PIR was nice. I also posted the date for BST he said they will go the night of the 13th calls the 14th can't wait but now I at least know when.
Hi Lynda; I rcvd a letter yesterday but he didn't tell me the BS date just said next wk but not sure when exactly. He confirmed they will call on 7/14 it should be around 6pm. Did you receive any letter?
Hi Lynda,
My son Sam is ranked E3 after boot camp and will start Nuke school as a machinist's mate....I think that is MM. I still don't know all of this stuff! On his white uniform he had red stripes...that's the nuke stripes I think. I saw 935 marching when we were in Great Lakes! They looked awesome! Have fun at PIR!
Hey Lynda;
My sailor doesn't say much about what he'll be doing, I rmbr he mentioned something about practicing with the flags tho. Anyways I rcvd a letter this Friday and he thinks they might be calling on the 14th so I'm assuming it's the "I'm a sailor" call. He was excited they were allowed to eat dessert lol and their RDC's are being nicer :D He also got a ribbon for "SharpShooter", other than that they're all just excited PIR is getting closer.
About the M&G I'm not gonna be able to make it, I'm arriving at 7:45pm in Chicago and have to wait for my nlaws that r coming from TX.
Well' hopefully they call home soon. i'll be looking out for you at the PIR!
