Dianne, how are you? I was wondering if you have heard from Connie? I have been trying to get a hold of her about the Holiday project but she hasn't answered my emails.
Dianne, my son does know your son or at least they work together anyway. He wanted to make sure it was him, though and I don't think he has said anything to him yet. He must be okay. I'll keep in touch and let you know if i hear anythingl Let me know if you hear from Nick. Wish his emails were longer and were more informed but not, so will have to wait for his next one.
Hi Dianne,
Sounds like maybe our sons work together. He will be on duty tonight, I think. He said he is on duty their last day there. So hopefully he can get in touch with him. You can PM me at lpshar@gmail.com. I will request you as a friend on N4M's so you could PM me there also.
Dianne, My son just graduated Prototype in Goose Creek in June and this is his first deployment. He mentioned that he's been hanging around with and toured this port with the other new guys in the Reactor Department, and that they are all MMs (except for my son who is an EM). I wonder if Nick is one of them. If you'd like me to contact my son to see if he can get Nick to e-mail or call you, please send me an e-mail at cdavis1116@aol.com with Nick's last name.
Dianne, I hope you will hear from Nick soon. I see Nick is an MM. So is my son. Wonder if they are in the same dept, so maybe my son could track him down. Justin is dept RM in his address. Let me know if he can help.
Sharon
Dianne,
Do you know anyone who works with your son who you could e-mail? I asked my husband and he said it could be something as simple as having too many e-mail in his inbox. If it continues and you start to get concerned you could always call the Ombudsman. The ombudsman has direct contact with the CO,XO and CMC and could ask one of them to check on him. I would wait to make sure it is not a computer problem because he might get a stern talking to by who ever delivers the message that he needs to e-mail you and make sure that you can e-mail him. If you know someone from the Niimitz group who knows your son I would try to get a message to him that way first. Good luck and I hope you are able to get in contact with your son soon.
Actually, I'm not sure either....I was just thinking that when I got the whole list together I would send it to MaggieG and let her send it out. She seems to know everyone. In the mean time . my e-mail is jlwb98229@yahoo.com send it to me there and I'll add it to the list. Nick isn't having a birthday while he's deployed, is he? Thanks Jane
Dang, Dianne.....I messed up...I don't have Nick's address :-( Just his name and rank. I assume he will not be having a birthday on this deployment (I think) but I would like to send him a Christmas card..sorry about that. Of course the list is free for the asking ;-)
Hi Dianne, I'm trying to put a list together so I can send the sailors Christmas cards. I don't have all the zip codes :-( Is Nick's zip 96601 or 96620? Thanks Jane
Hi Dianne, That is too bad there isn't any family left in SD. I am sure Nick finds plently to do. I like to out to Coronodo Island. That is a nice area. He might get to learn to Surf if he is their in the summer. Did your husband retire Army? Well, be safe, drive careful, Laura
Hi Dianne, I have seen on TV the bad weather in Washington. I hope you haven't had any damage. There is a navy base in Washington? Your Husband grew up in Dan diego. How great. Was he in the Navy? I grew up in Southern Calif. I do not miss the Valley. Too many people. Will you get over to San Diego to see Nick? We hare having mild weather here 70's all week. Do you talk to Nick alot? Hi Dianne, I hope the water problems are going away. Which state do you live in? Are you still getting alot of rain? I haven't watched the weather latley. It was pretty nice here. Take care, I hope all is well with you. Be safe. Laura
Hi Dianne, I am sorry to hear about the weather problems. I know some cities are getting hit pretty hard.I hope you do not get flooded. Where is nick now? What do they have him doing until summer? Patrick is having delays. He said he won't graduate until December. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens. I hope you are safe. Keep in touch. Laura
Hi Dianne,How Long Nick go out at a time? Did he sign on for the extra 2 yrs to get the big bonus?. Does the Nimitz go out to different ports? It seems like it would be more fun then a sub.Did Nick have alot of delays at Prototype school? Patrick said he will be there until December. I want to get out there to go to NY city. He went to Canada for New Years Eve. He said it was great, fun, and expensive. When Nick is on the ship does he put all of his stuff in storage? Have a good day.
Hi Dianne, That sounds like alot of fun, just walking around on the carrier and seeing a air show. How does Nick like being on the carrier? Does he have long work hrs? I am not sure about Subs,if a person can take a tour? Subs seem so small. How do you enjoy your work? It seems like it would be alot of fun. I will check it out.
Hi Dianne, Patrick is in the Navy Nuclear Program. I have looked up t-shirts under Nuke. And have seen some. It would be fun to make a custom one. That is go great Nick is on the Nimitz. I watched the special CARRIER. It was so good. Nick is a MM3 like Patrick? Are you ever going on a Tiger cruise? I think that would be the greatest thing ever. I am Thinking about going through a short course.called: Recovery Support Specialist. It should be interesting. I will look at you web-site. Have you done any Nuke Mom's Shirts?
