Hi Catherine~
Wow! Your husband just finished up his training?Tim finished up his A school on June 11th and flew home on the 12th. He and his fiancee' were married on June 20th and he left for Misawa on July 3rd. I get to talk to him a few times a week ad when I don't think about how far away from home he is, I deal with it pretty well! (how's that for not dealing with reality?) I miss all of you ladies from PIR01/23/09, and I think about you often. In a strange way, I miss bootcamp. As hard as it was, it made me appreciate what was important and it made me realize that I can't control (or protect) my son. Keep in touch~
Looks like you only talk with moms from Utah!!! hahah - well, nope now you have a note on here from TEXAS!!
Just always remember - DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!!!!!
Jake is a CS. We fly to Chicago for his PIR in 15 days!!!! I can't flippin' wait. We have two little boys, Beckham is 3.5 and Holden will be 10 months old on the day of Jake's PIR. :) ♥ I am so glad to meet another wife from Utah. I bet you're absolutely stoked to see your hubby again! I know I can't wait to see mine!
Hi Catherine! Thanks for adding me as a friend! I have an awful time finding anyone around here with the Navy connection. Would love to chat with you sometime! Go Navy!
Thank you for connecting, Catherine. My son is just finishing up his A school in Great Lakes- OS training. Originally, from the southeast, we are very much military minded & aware of the blessings of those who serve in the military- it's heart warming to see him following in his grandfather's footsteps. ;)
In what part of Utah do you live? You have a beautiful family..... I think I need to add pics on this space. : )
Oh, that's great!!! I bet that the kids didn't even sleep last night!!! You probably didn't either;) I'm not going to be able to get off work to get over to the graduation. I've started a new job and do not have enough vacation days saved up:( Bob is taking a day and going over to get him. We're excited, he'll be home for 9 days 4 of which are over Memorial Day weekend, 5 will be RAP duty(?) which is working with the local recruiters. Then he heads to Camp Pendleton.
Yes, Eric called last night to tell us that he was able to select his orders. He is going to be going to Twentynine Palms and he did get FMF. That is what he'd wanted. We're glad for him and hope that he likes desert heat. He said that he'll be there for 18 months. They are supposed to graduate on Memorial Day weekend.
LOL, I'll let my daughter Storm know what he did, she'll get a kick out of it. There is a picture on my page of Berta holding the new baby. She is a little angel.
Thanks so much, I am sure I will have lots of questions as time goes forward. My husband and I were very surprised when they gave him this rate at MEPS b/c he is color blind. He is a little concerned about getting through it but plans on studying hard and already has a study group to work with.
Have a good weekend!
Catherine ~ I just wanted to let you know that my nephew's girlfriend had her baby girl, Shaily Lynn on March 19th. Everyone is doing great. Oh yeah, my daughter Berta is going to Japan for 3 years. Have a great day.
Michele
