Thank you Pam. I'm still kind of numb. While I have planned to get to stuff around the house (you know that list). Today, I have to get the business stuff taken care of - check on my retirement, and medical benefits. The 24th will be my last day. So, I am doing all of the checking stuff. I am lucky to have a little bit of retirement, and the medical benefits. Some folks don't have that. So, I have a bit of a full day. I'll keep you posted.

It'll be 2 years now with the Meniere's Disease. I'm so used to by now.
My dauhgter Kim is in Virginia, on the USS Normandy. The ship finally pulled for a 5 day cruise, Kim loved it. SHe was ready to hit the high seas! HAHA!
Better her than me, I'm not a water person! UGH! Showers are more my speed! HAHA!

Pam, This is the first time in awhile I have been back to this site also. I have had three deaths in my family in the past three months. We just came back from Chicago and 4 days later my Mom end up in hospital and not good. All I can do is pray. I am so glad that you have had Joshua home for a month. Where is Joshua off to? Let me know when you want to get together, it would be fun. Joyce
Hi Pam, I just saw that you live in Anna. My Father-In-Law has a house in Westminster off of Church St. We are up there quite often. We just had about 40+ people over last weekend for our Church Sharefest. We did yard work and cleaned out his house to get ready for an Estate Sale. He passed away last month when we were at PIR. We brought a new sailor in and had an old sailor depart us. My son Mike is 22 and down in P'cola waiting to attend A school. He will be a AM. Since he does not have orders I believe he will be in FL till at least Oct. as classes are really backed up. I live in Allen/Lucas area, which is not too far from you. Blessings, Joyce

I have only spoken with her once, but felt very connected. She is awesome. I still haven't heard back from my request - could be the 'wait and see'. I'm hoping all is well with you. my son Josh is on the USS PENNSLYAVNIA not a good speller. He has been in for about 15 months now. Anna is about 30 miles south of Denton. He is on a sub.
Hi Pam! I saw your friend request this morning. Is anna anywher near Denton? I am about 30 miles north of Dallas/ftworth. How long has your son been in the Navy, and what is he in for? submarines? My son Is waiting for AM school to start. he has been in P-Cola since november waiting!!!!
Hi Pam: They might - I don't know. We didn't even hear from him before he was deployed. But about three weeks after, our dil sent an e-mail. I'm sure that they probably do-it is not a huge crew like on a carrier. If you hear anything, please let me know. I have the e-mail address for the penn blue ombudsman (pennblueombudsman@yahoo.com). I sent one e-mail, and have received no response. I'm sending another copying Linda Moore on it, and maybe that will help my search. I'll keep you posted.
The Shack has been helping me to relax, and think about things. I'm not quite done yet. I have a pretty busy weekend. How about you??
