Hi Cindy,

It's time for all of us to get together again. We are going to meet Saturday, August 29. I placed a discussion out there a while back, but with summer and busy schedules there weren’t too many responses. With that in mind, I am going to invite all who are interested to my home and we’ll BBQ and pack boxes and just catch up on our Sailors. I don’t know that I have all of the Colorado Moms on my email, so please feel free to pass this along to any on your friends list. As always the more the merrier. My address is 12165 W. 85th Avenue Arvada, CO 80005 303-463-8912 (home) 303-982-0590 (work). Please go to the event page and RSVP if you are coming.

Molly’s Adopt-A-Sailors have adopted the USS CROMMELIN. The USS Crommelin is a frigate and the home to 252 of our sailors. They are based out of Hawaii and are currently on deployment. There are 250 males and 2 females aboard.
And, not only are they happy about us adopting them, they are ecstatic!
They will be half-way through deployment about mid-September, so we are going to help them celebrate with a HAWAIIAN LUAU. Let’s show our Colorado Love.

Check out Molly’s Adopt-A-Sailor site for more details. The discussion link is August 09.

Hope to see lots of your smiling faces 

Hi this is Chance, Judi Y's son. I am a MM Nuke in Goose Creek at NNPTC. I am on leave right now from graduating A school. I saw wat u asked my mother and i felt inclined to tell youu this. The graduation lasted 25 minutes, your son's name will be said only once and very quickly. The captain doesnt want to be there and neither do there other officers because A school is a very small part of the school. The graduation is in a poorly lit room inside of a building and afterward u are hurried out the door. If you are planning on going, in alll honesty don't. save the money u would have spent and bring him back to Colorado. He will get about 15 days of leave and can do everything u guys would like, vise 25 minutes of boring graduation where u hear tens of peoples names of those u dont know. Powerschool graduation is only 6 months away. Wait till then, thats where they put effort into it. hundreds of people attend with an outside gradution on a cement podium shaped like a nucleaus. it lasts all day. Dont go now wait. Being home is better than being in goosecreek anyway, family and friends make it worth the trip.

Welcome Aboard N4M.

I would like to invite you to come join the Colorado Moms group too. We just had our first statewide gathering on Jan. 11th and we had a blast. We are in the process of organizing smaller area get togethers in the next couple of months. The Western Slope moms are putting one together for March 28th, you can find the information in the discussion section of the Colorado Moms site.

Pop in and tell us about your Sailor and yourself. If your Sailor is deployed we would love to send a Colorado Love Box. Just let me know and we will connect for the necessary information. This is a great group of moms and families that love to support our Sailors and their families.

Hope to hear from you soon!!
