I haven't heard of anyone else, maybe they are just shy. Will keep trying to find some. I am so glad that Danno made it home and feel so sorry for him. But everything happens for a reason and God has other planns for him. Like you said he was walking taller and prouder, this will be the turn around you were hoping for. Please keep us informed of how you all are doing. I'll keep you up on Robert. only 28 more days till I see him. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Stay in touch...Paulette
Hi Kristy,
Thanks for the invitation. I am so sorry to read Danno's story. . I can't believe the way the recruiter behaved. I don't know if you have reported him to someone higher up, but retired or not, I would definitely try to have some action taken against him. He surely must have broken some rules in regard to skipping the physical. Possibly he was concerned he wouldn't pass because of the accident and didn't want to lose a recruit. It does sound like there must be a connection with his accident and his shoulder. I hope that can be treated and he will be 100%. You must be so relieved to have your son is back home! Best wishes, Nancy
Hi Kristy, How are you? I read about your son. I'm happy to hear he made it home. How is he doing? My daughter left for boot camp on August 25th. We have received three letters so far and she sounds good but she's just started her third week. Where is Hudson?
Hi Kristy, Yes I would really ap[preciate all th info you have on this, And does it cost alot of maoney. Because everyone that I've come acrosswants x-amount of dollars before they will tell you anything, God Bless You for all the help. Leigh. swansonleigh57@yahoo.com
Awww thank you, Danny is so nice to say that. Levi told me he knew who he was because of his surgery and felt bad for him. Is Danny in any pain? Is he okay, I hope so. I'm like up packing and ironing and I was getting the list of things he asked and when I unplugged the iPod Nanno it kept going. I tried all of the little buttons oh well. Night, and thank you so much for your sweet words.
Yes he was up until about the last month. Then they got someone new. But Jay got to come back and take my son's best friend to MEPS but didn't get to take Anthony. He was really bummed. How are things going? So far so good with Anthony. I got my first letter last thursday and expect another tomorrow. I am on Myspace too if you have that.

so you crochet? I like to use thread and crochet tiny baby clothes with ruffles and scallopes for tiny bears and rabbits...I make the hats with two holes so the ears stick out... It's very easy but my hands are having more difficulties in doing small work.

thank you for making me feel welcomed in your group. some times I feel like I am standing alone May be what I need is to have friends who truly understand what it feels like to have loved ones servicing overseas. i really want to help make a change for the better I just don't know where to start or what to do hope this is the starting of a new friendship. I sure could use one Edith
Kristy, that is why I hung on here and started Ship 17 moms. I know how hard it is, especially when your child is sick, not being able to be in touch. You have a right to be mad about the burn. There was another recruit who had appendicitis, and as far as I recall was fine. I am a disabled RN, and have taken care of patients after appendectomies, and they are usually good in a day or two. If he isn't they will ship him back to the hospital.Perhaps this was working on him when he got so crabby with you.
I have a lot of issues with how they handle respiratory infections at Great Lakes, but this is a relatively minor surgery, as surgeries go. He may not be up for going to the phone yet, so if you don't hear tonite, call tomorrow and ask that he call home . He will be needing to get moving and walk around by then.
Kristy, so sorry to hear about your son's surgery. Will pray for him and you.He probably is Sick in Quarters, and other recruits will check in on them. They do help each other out.
I had my appendix out in the days they kept you for a week after surgery, at age 11. By day 2 I was having wheel chair races with the other kids. Kids heal quickly.
