Dan said he leaves the same day as graduation 5/8 - he mentioned 3 hours but not sure if he is even sure - don't know where he flies out from either - all the unanswered questions make me anxious but have learned to wait and be thankful for what we will have - things can change from day to day is what I have heard. does your son graduate 5/8?
GOod morning-It's Diane-Dan's mom sec.183 - got letters yesterday to expect a call perhaps today - he is grad-n-go so will get to have lunch with him but I'll take what we can get-flying into Midway then renting a car to drive to Navy Lodge-anxious to meet all the moms - still praying for them all - they have all done so great-God is so good!! Diane
Yep he called at 4pm to say I am a Sailor. He sounded so tried and happy. He said that he had been up since 4 yesterday morning. He is trying to get watch on thursday night so he can spend the weekend with us.
Peggy, VERY FUNNY! I'll bet he and Kyle would hit it off. Kyle is a dare devil and always looking to stir up the most fun he can find or get into. He loves riding his dirt bike, mostly on the back wheel....if you get the idea. Is Blake doing BS tonight?
Hi Peggy. I'm not very good at this website and I don't have much time to spend to try and navigate!!! Ugh! Anyway, I'm doing well and so is Kyle. I can't wait until next week Friday!!!! I miss him SO much and can't wait to hug him!!!!! How are you doing?
Thanks Peggy - will find it one way or the other - thank you for the information - safe trip - where are you coming from - we are from Florida - see you soon. Diane
Good morning Peggy. I have not sleep all night. i am so nervous about Matts BS today. Will let you know in a text as soon as I hear from him and will defintely let you know how it was. Thanks
I am in Las Vegas Nevada and am having trouble being able to tell when a greet and meet is in my state I guess! ha ha. This is my first time on the site and it's a little confusing at first. Your soldier looks ike a great man. I think they are born soldiers. You can see the hero in thier eyes. I'm so very proud of all of them!
My daughter is a Navy Seabee. She has been deployed to Iraq then when she returned she was deployed to Mississippi to be a trainer. She is now going on her second year of deployment. At least this time it is in the United States. I know you may be thinking " what is a Seabee" Am I right?
I can understand the frustration about the grad n go. We had to change our return flight from Sunday to Saturday because why spend money on an additional day for hotel and rental car. Just wish I knew when she was leaving. Someone said they won't know until a couple days before graduation. Not sure how true that is, but at this point I hope I at least get an hour. Hope you get a phone call soon. I'll keep it in my prayers.
I am so with you! I have gotten a few more than one call, but I've had absolutely NOTHING for two weeks now. My last letter was one he wrote on Easter. :( I've been told that Grad and Go is so flakey. If their status as Grad and Go stays (apparently it can change up to 3 days before!!) then we'll have anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hrs to see him. Hopefully they will get leave when they get to their A-school, but yes maam, making plans is near impossible. I've dropped a TON of money on this trip - none of which are changeable without major fees : / Sooo, I'm with ya. Added to the anger of Grad and Go questions - I'm having a hard time getting excited now :( I really can't shake the feeling that Caleb won't want me there, I'm so scared that he's just forgotten about me. (sigh) I'm such a girl! LOL! I'm already packed though, ha! And I AM excited about meeting you and all the N4Ms! :) Let me know if you hear anything! I certainly wont :(
Hey Peggy... Did you hear anything today? I was hoping they would get to call to get some positive talk from home before battlestations. Guess not. Hope your doing well. 11 Days!!!!! I saw Laurie left a comment today. Glad she's back.
Hello,
I really enjoy chatting with everyone too. This is a freat site i wish I used it more in the beginning. I'm pretty new to this stuff and I'm finding it all interesting. I can't wait for graduation. I am so looking forward to giving him the biggest hug ever. I hope that he will be feeling better soon. I hate knowing that he is so sick and I can't help him. He sounded so sick when we were finally able to talk and that worries me. I know he will be ok but I'm a bit of a worry wart. lol Well you take care and i'll talk with you later.
Hello,
My sons name is Aaron. He's in the 925 division. Is that where your son is at too? I wish I had discovered this group in the beginning when he left. I enjoy seeing all of the pictures and finding out that I'm not the only mom that is missing her child. I did experience this with my daughter as well. She's an IT1 and is currently recruiting but getting ready to move on from that soon. She is working on her eighth year in the Navy with lots of wonderful memories. That helps me with my son knowing what lies ahead for him and his future. I'm proud but sad at the same time but I'm sure that you understand that too? Nice to meet you and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you soon.
