Hi Barbara...Tim was also on the bus and arrived on the USS Bataan. He called Friday night when he had a cell signal, but dropped his new phone in the toilet on Saturday so I haven't heard from him. Tim is a machinist mate. He had his PIR on 8/14 and finished A school in GL in November. He was home in November and will be able to come home some weekends when he doesn't have duty. I am very happy that he will be in Norfolk. Are you going to the ceremony tomorrow? We are not since Tim was just home recently. Thanks for writing! Debbie

A hovercraft?!?! That is soooo cool!!! lol i bet he loved it =) what a great experience! lol and its good that he got to meet a lot of the other FC's =) I guess they arent sending Mickey out to the ship because he reported in today and they told him to come back monday to do some work then he reports to the ship when it gets back =)

Ha! See how fast things change?!! Wow - a hovercraft tht is a really cool way to get to the ship!! Can't wait to hear what he thinks of the ship...even it it's a short deployment!

well I guess im not going to the homecoming, I just found out when they are getting back and I wont be up there by then =( but if they fly Mickey out I will make arrangements to get up there!!! lol

aaww well at least he will get a little bit of experience of what it will be like when he gets deployed for the full 6 months =) im hoping that Mickey wont get flown out to the ship since he has our keys to the place!! lol And thanks for the tip about where to report =)

Hey! He doesnt have to report until Sunday but I think he is going to report Friday after he returns our Uhaul. Do you have any idea where he is suppose to report while the ship is away??

We do have a place, its a townhouse in VA Beach, and one of my childhood friends married a Sailor (who is related to me down the line) and is stationed in Norfolk as well, and they are moving in the same complex this weekend too =) So im happy about that! lol

Im going to try and go to the homecoming, even is mickey is not flown to meet the ship, it would be nice to know its like before it happens for real for me, lol are you going to homecoming?

Hi Barbara - you are doing well. I'm trying to catch up...it may never happen!! LOL
Well........................how's your fleet sailor doing?? Did they fly him out to meet he ship or is he waiting for it? Nick is so busy now that we don't hear enough from him but he did call last night to complain about the cost of his uniforms. He just bought his first two sets of the NWUs and spent close to $300 and he has to have 4 sets and the jacket...that sould come in handy in......Hawaii!!! NOT!!! Hope all is well, keep us posted on Stephen please.

He's going up for E5. And as far as I know they are coming home as scheduled, I just can't post when on the open site. But I don't thnk I'm doing the tiger cruise; I did the family cruise before the deployment; but I may go back for the homecoming.

That's great that he'll be able to come home early. I was thinking of you today and wondering how he as doing. James is doing well, or at least as best as I can tell given that he doesn't email mom too much info.....lol He's finally done with 180 days of cranking and just got done taking the advancement exam a couple of weeks ago. So now we wait until before Thanksgiving for results.

Are you still at school until 5? The next time I get off early I will come up. I can always get on the computer in the lab and bring the pictures up on the computer. I am still waiting on him to send me the pics from his camera since mine died but I do have some.

Externship is going great! I love it. Aaron is doing great. He is starting school Monday. He is very excited about it. I haven't been on much this past week. But all is going well.

Oh okay well I didn't know anything about the promise but I am sure he does. So I am sure you will get one then. =) I didn't get to ask him last night bc he called late and I forgot. But I will tell him tonight. I didn;t send the pictures yet but Ill be sure to get you one =)

Thanks Barbara...Once again, you're a great help! That's about what I was planning on taking him, but since he was going to be staying in GL for A school, I thought he'd be able to keep the laptop. I guess not.

I will have many pics to show you! I havent put them on here yet and I dont know if I will. But I will def. show you them. When he calls tonight I will let him know you want one of his pics. I actually have his pics with me. He forgot to send them home with his parents. So I am mailing them up to them tomorrow. But I am sure he wont mind. =)
