Hi Jody, I sent you a friend request. I don't know how much info I am supposed to give out. Let me know. He is in Pensacola for A school. I will send you the info. Thanks for thinking of him.
Laura
Hi Jody,
How are you and your family doing? I am sorry to hear your job did not work out. I can't make the get together this Saturday, I just started working for Florida Hospital about a month ago and they need me to work this Saturday 2-10pm. It's a part time job and I hope in time it will turn into full time, I don't mind working weekends here and there because they do give extra money on nights and weekends. But at least I have a job where I will be working 12 months instead of 9 months ( I can't go another summer without a paycheck- know what I mean ) Please keep me posted on other up coming get togethers and if I am not working I would love to come.
How is Justin doing? Nick will be back in Pensacola for some more school Nov.15-25 but will go back to Washington the day before Thanksgiving and that stinks but we will go up and see him the 23-25 and have a early Turkey day with him. He ships out sometime in January and we are not sure when we will ever get to Washington.
Sorry so long, please keep in touch and let me know how you make out with your job search.
also, Mail seems to be having a hard time getting to the new addy, it gets there but takes just a little bit longer. I am thinking its because it brand new house! the kids have been having a bit of trouble at the Post office....They have to go and get the mail cause the mail person is not delivering ALL the mail at once...can't figure it out!! They have complained maybe it will change, we can only HOPE!
sorry ..Shawn JUST moved....new addy!!!! whoops..He actually moved the end of Aug. new addy,

the addy you sent the card to "was" correct but like I said he was in the middle of moving! I can't believe the post office just didn't forward the card??!!! Weird, thanks for thinking of him. He actually was in San Diego-working!! they were doing some ship repairs and is currently chug a lugging their way home as I type!
thanks again

Hi Jody,
the letter does explain it. and i've told everyone, that if everyone sent $1.00, we'd lots of money for fabric and shipping. And sending it on is a perfect way to help!
I'm sorry that you lost your job. You have a great looking family.
Jody, no letterhead, but have a logo that you can add to the top of a letter.

send me an email and I will send you the logo and you and copy and paste it to a letter. Sorry, we are still in the "building stages"
thanks!!!!
Hi Jody
Before Nick went to Washington he was home on leave for 10 days and we enjoyed every minute with him (it was great)
He flew up there, I couldn't afford to fly with him the price was insane!!! He said he is on an island up there and has to take a ferry to the base, I gave him Justin's phone number and he will get in touch so they could get together. At first he was living on a barge next to the USS Abrahan Lincoln but now he moved to the barracks while they get the ship ready, he was told he will move on the ship in October for the tour. But he was also told he will be coming back to Pensacola for C school. I can't wait-I miss him already and it's only been two weeks, Will I ever get use to this???
Nick also saved some leave time hoping he may be able to come home for Christmas. How is Justin doing?
Hi Jody
How have you been? I can't believe the kids go back to school in 2 weeks. How is Justin doing? Nick is in Washington on the USS Abraham Lincoln and he lost Justin's phone number and wants to get in touch with him, could you give Justin Nick's number 386-561-1395 maybe they could get together on time off.
How is the job going or are you looking for something else?
Keep in touch
Hi Jody
I will say a prayer that you get the job with the Jets cookie guy-that sounds like it would be a better job for you. Nick is in A school until June 29 and he is hoping to keep the highest gpa because they pick the next station based on gpa so if he stays the highest he will get to pick first. I know he wants Whidbey Island if it is on the list, he was told it is a great base for AC's and he could get the most out of that station. I just hope it's on the list because he really wants that base.
Just checking in with you to see how things are going. What's the latest on Justin? Hope all is well on your end. Jesse is out to sea on qualifications, working very hard and seems to like being on the ship. We are going out to see him in September, but until then, it will be a loooooong summer without him. I bet you miss your son very much, too! Hopefully, he is keeping in touch with you. I guess that's the one thing I miss the most when Jesse is underway -- not being able to get phone calls where I can actually hear his voice. Well, hang in there and drop me a line sometime, will ya? Take care!
Hi Jody
Nick called last night, he got a text from Justin and Nick was going to call Justin and yes the base Nick was hoping for is Whigdby Island but he has to wait and see if it is on the list he gets to pick from, he thinks he gets to pick in about two weeks so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope it is on the list.
Talk to you soon
That post was not long at all, you had to catch me up on everything going on with you and the family.
Yes Nick is thinking Washington state and he said the name of the base but I can't remember the name. I will ask him the name next time we talk, I had to mail him his phone again-- it fell out of his pocket in the car. He heard he could get a lot of hands on in Washington and certified more at that base. But he said the day you get to pick your orders they line you up in gpa order and take you in a room one by one and only than you find out what base is available. In Nick's class he has 8 navy so on that day they will offer 8 bases and he will not know what base until he gets in that room. I did not know that was how it worked. He did want to go to Italy but he may not be able to talk to the pilots (language thing) he wanted Hawaii but found out there is no tower in Hawaii. I guess once again I am in the dark because I won't know what is offered or where he will be stationed after Pensacola.
I am sorry that job is not working out but while you are there you should be looking for something else, I know it is a bad time to be looking for another job (I feel like I am stuck where I am) but don't give up you now can work at any insurance company and you will find a better job. Good Luck
I will keep you posted
Hi Jody
How are you and the family? How is Justin doing?
I got a great surprise Thursday at 3 am Nick came home for the weekend!!! Everyone was in on it but me, my husband and brother drove up to get him (even James and Joey were in on it) now I laugh at the problems at work stories and how I didn't catch on.
We had a great weekend together, made the trip back at 8am Monday and we got home at 11pm (I hate that trip but so worth it, you know what I mean) Nick is doing well - top gpa in his class and if he holds on to that he will get first pick and he thinks he wants to pick Washington because he heard he could get more out of being stationed in Washington. At first he wanted to go overseas but he is heard if you don't speak the language you can't work in the tower or speak to the pilots but he needs to find out if that is true, he really needs to ask more questions before he picks a base. Also he told me when you get to pick if they have in his case only 7 navy guys and 6 marines (in his class) so when they get to pick the navy will only have 7 bases to pick from and you do not know what bases are on that list until you go into the room and pick. Did not know that is how it all worked.
Anyway keep in touch
