Hi Lynne, I live in Adrian, Michigan. I actually thought about using my vaccum sealer to send the food in instead of bowls. This was my friends idea, to keep from wasting my jars and him throwing away my bowls I purchase. Do you think that they would be okay in those? I will call my local supermarket to see if they have it and how much. I am going to call my local pharmacy to see if he has a container for me and maybe some free gel packs. Let me know what you think. Thanks alot. I really enjoy talking to you. I will add you as a friend.

Hi Lynne, thanks for sharing with us. I was wondering where I can get dry ice and if you could explain it a little more thoroughly as to price wise of the ice and exactly what kind of box you send it in to keep them from knowing there is ice in it and all. What is the cost over all and how big of a box and how much food do you send at a time. Thanks for your help!

Hi Lynne,
Thanks for writing. We are doing good. We just had some limbs in the yard and our roof lost quite a few shingles. We were out of electricity a couple of days but we still have friends who do not have electricity. God really protected many people from something that could have taken so many lives. Josh is doing OK in Pensacola, he likes it there but is bored because his school is so backed up instead of graduating in Oct, he will not be starting A school until March or April. He does a lot of watch duty and cleaning. I wish they had classes they could take, the idea of them providing classes with the local Jr. College did not come about. Josh got engaged about two weeks ago. They are not going to get married for a year and half. Sounds like your son is doing good! Well, better go. I hope your son's wedding plans are coming along. It will be a joyous for you all. I know, I have had three weddings in the last 10 years. All of Josh's older sister's have gotten married. Lynne, take care and may God Bless you and yours. Lynn

I hope he enjoyed knowing Michael. Yes, Michael is going to Virginia Beach and will be leaving GL this Thursday. He is ready to move on and get settled in Virginia, so he can feel like he has his feet planted somewhere. I have been able to talk to him more via the phone and e-mail and he sounds really good and positive about everything. He said that even though boot camp was hard he would do it again. I am so proud of him. He is going to be checking to see if he can qualify for the Naval Academy. I guess one of his recruiters or someone told him that with his test scores he has a good shot at the Naval Academy. We will wait to see what happens. As long as he is happy and enjoying what he is doing that is what is important to me.

Josiah is excited about his new cell phone he has internet to check his e-mail that way he doen't need a lap top right now. He wants to get a Mac laptop which will allow him to do his music. It sounds like him and Jake are having a good time together. They have to continue to pray and God says all things work together for the good to those who love God and are the called according to hie purpose. So we will see where God will step in and turn things around for Jake. See ya later. God Bless

Congratulations Lynne on Jake's engagement. How exciting! I know you will have fun planning a wedding. I asked Josh if he saw Jake and Josiah and he says he sees them once in a while. They are in the same ship but Josh is grouped with the guys who are going to AM in Pensacola next Thursday. Josh says he is the only one from his division and two others who is going to Pensacola. Of course he was surprised by that, I think the others are going to Virginia Beach. I think he would rather go there because his sister lives at the Virginia, Tennessee border. Mike thinks he is going to Pensacola because he signed on a year ago to be in the AM job training and probably has had his spot the longest and I know the program is behind in moving people in and out of the classes in Pensacola. I sure wish Jake and Josiah and Josh could have been together for A school. I am so happy tho that Jake and Josiah are getting to be together. Well, again congratulations on the wedding. I have had three daughters get married but I suspect being the mother of the groom will be a little different. Josh is planning on asking his girl's father for her hand in marriage when he comes home on his first leave. Talk to you soon. Lynn

Thank you for the info. I have not heard from Josiah. He may be disappointed they didn't get to go to Pensicola. But I tell him everything is for a reason. God definitely has a plan for our sons and he has perfect time for them to go. Maybe they will miss huricane season down in Fla. I'm not sure what months that is but I know we hear more about them now. We do have to trust God with our children. I have been learning that over the last 8 years when my first daughter graduated HS and left for college. Josiah is the third child to leave and it is only now sinking in so I kind of get it. But God knows we are mothers and always protective of our young. One thing the Lord spoke to me when my husband and I went into youth ministry 26 years ago. We know how much we love and want the best for our children. He loves them even more than that and is in the position more than us to take care of them. It is hard to believe someone would love our children more than us. Right? But He does! That is great comfort if we can help our heart and emotions to rest in that knowledge. he will give us the peace that passes ALL understanding. Amen. :) Have a great Day.

Hi Lynne,
Josh and I had a hard time when it came time to leave. Aren't we blessed to have such a relationship with our sons. It was so nice getting to meet you and Jeannette and again thank you for your prayers. You guys are a blessing to me. I looked for you after graduation so I could introduce Josh to you but never saw you. It was so exciting for everyone at that moment though to finally get to hug our children. I did show Josh the picture of you and Jeannette and I and he smiled real big. Hopefully we will hear from the boys soon after they get to A school. Take care and God Bless
