Hi Cheryl, Transplant in Florida from Michigan here too! I live in North Florida near Jacksonville. I Love Florida but still miss Mi at times. My son is in Bc in GL. Going into his 5th week now. Cant wait until PIR. He will be going to SC for A school afterward. Just wanted to welcome you to Florida and best wishes to you and yours!
Cheryl, I am also a Florida transplant. I am from New York. I have been living here in Homosassa since 2007. I live in Sugarmill woods. My son moved to Florida with us and joined the Navy. He has been in since March. He just finished up A school and will be going to his first duty station in Pearl Harbor in the beginning of Dec.
Welcome to Homosassa! Small town in the middle of nowhere, but I couldn't imagine living anywhere else now! lol
My son is still in boot camp and will be going to cryptology school in Pensacola afterwards. I'm so proud of him and can't wait to go to Great Lakes to see him.
Hope the job hunt goes well here. What are you looking for? Maybe I can spread the word and see what's out there.
What brought you here? It's such a small town I'm always surprised when new people move here. Wondering what brought them!

Hi Cheryl: I don't think I've been to that part of Mi. My husband is in Kentucky as we blog and hopes to be in Mi tommorrow. I told him to bring apples home. I am really missing my sailor today, even though I just saw him 2 days ago. funny how that works. Janie

Cheryl where is Edwardsburg? My husband is from Troy and is on his way there now.
Thank you and good luck to you on your move. I lived in Florida for 21 years! My son actually was born and raised there along with his sisters but I moved up here when he started High School. I have a client in Miami and I fly down there 1 to 2 weeks out of the month. Its a HOT as heck state but if you like that sort of thing you will LOVE it! : )
Hi Cheryl! Thank you for the welcome words! Its nice to know others in the same situation as I! I am so very proud of my son yes!!! We live close to downtown Jackson....in the historic district! My son graduated from Jackson high this year. I would love to get together some time!
Hi Cheryl... How are things going for you? Getting closer here to see my son.. Sep 3. How is your doing? Is he loving the navy? I hope so. Well just wanted to say hello. take care
Thanks so much for the comment & info. What a small world. My son is very excited as well. He can't wait to go. He'll be 23 in May. Took a differant route deciding what he wanted to do. College (came back home) moved out got a job. Lost that, now is working for our family business. But this has been the best decision he's made as an adult by far. And no it's not silly thinking that your son has allready changed... I feal that as well. Since I see him every day at work,it's gonna about kill me when he leaves. But i'll survive. Especially with these boards. Where are you moving back from???
Hi Cheryl. You son looks so proud to wear his uniform. I live in Jackson and my son is on a sub. He is stationed out of Bremington WA and the cost of a plane tickets is beyond my means. Ouch. He is currently deployed on secret missions and I would so love to be in WA with my daughter in law when he returns. Hard life for military moms - always waiting for a phone call. So tell me how you are doing?
It's great to have a son in law or son to be one as in my case that you can love as deeply as your own flesh and blood.Family is not limited to we descend from give birth to. Families are those we open our hearts to, and need no connection through lineage.
I am a die hard genealogist, and have found closer relationships with my extended 'cousins' than some of my closer kin. Some of these ancestral cousins and my common ancestors may not connect for four hundred or more years, but that doesn't make them any less family.
Deep down aren't we all "family" in one sense of the word or another? We're all sisters here on N4M's too.
i bet i do know him!
send me a message with his last name, not on my wall though, cuz you can get in trouble for that, but through like private message. does it start with a C?
Cheryl, Thank you for the comments. I live in central Indiana around Indianapolis area. My son is also Master At Arms and hopes to be able to do K9 training later on.
