Hey Lelia- How are you ? How is Ben. Joshua is doing great. He loves Gulfport. He just finished ECS and now he will be in the field for two weeks- living in the woods- He came hme and surprised me two weekends agl- That was nice. I am just wathing him learn and grow and getting ready to be deployed- I could wait for that forever, you know. Hi Lelia, Glad Ben is doing well...Curtis likes it but not that much...He is passing everything but he never really liked school that much so I think he find it a little hard which is frustrating plus I think he is homesick... Please tell me more about everything..When they graduate, and when they get home afterwards and more about the reserves, what happens next...Looking forward to talking more to you as I feel you are the only mom I found with the same (navy reserves + A school in Port Huenem..Im not going to graduation either...California is too far from NY..Your friend Ellen

Hey there! I'm still really bad at reading my "wall" LOL. I just got your note. Matt "phased 3" too last week, but was on watch. That's why I had to put off seeing him for 1 week. We're going up tomorrow to pick him up and bring him home for the weekend! I'm very excited!
I'm so glad Ben and his "ex" are still close, that's good for the child. If he keeps his priorities there, and puts aside any feelings of his ex, he should be fine. Of course, that's easy for a Mom to say...right? Have you posted the picture he sent you anywhere? Would you mind e-mailing it to me? I love to see pictures of everyone's sailors. Matt's been sharing the dozens of cookies I've been sending, I wonder if Ben's had any? Would that be a kick?
Hey Lelia- HOW ARE YOU and BEN?? I hope you are all well. Josh told me that he has spoken to Ben- Josh loves Gulfport, MS- He graduates May 6th and then he will get to come home- right now we are waiting on ORDERS!!! This is the scary part ot me- but he is excited!!! Either way he will get ot come home- I know you are glad to have been coming home for awhile- Just wanted to stop in and say HI and Happy Summer to you. I decided to go to the security system and see if it had been blocked, sure enough it had. I talked to the computer tech and he was able to let it through, so I do have it now. Thanks for all your attempts.

I didn't have anythind in my inbox. It might also be that my school computer is filtering it out. We have a security system in place and even parent emails don't always get through. My home computer has been acting up too. Thanks for continuing to try. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow when I am going through Kentucky on my way to Tenn. My spring break is for 2 weeks which is really great.
Matt said he does know your son, but that's all he said (Matt's not much of a communicator if you don't talk cars...LOL).
That's great he'll be home for Memorial weekend...and what a weekend to celebrate his homecoming, too! Matt won't be home until mid June, but that means he'll be home for the 4th of July and his birthday (July 12).
Hi Lelia, back from PIR. What an emotional weekend. The hardest part was leaving. But she looks good a little tired. Anxious to get the next phase started. She moves over to A school tomorrow.
Matt's really enjoying himself now. He's been bowling, going to movies, and is looking forward to an upcoming Neal McCoy concert. He said the classes are interesting, but sometimes boring because he already knows a lot of the stuff. He's looking forward to getting his hands on the engines, though. His graduation date is June 6, if he passes all tests, and he's hoping to phase up in about another week or two. Then I'll be able to send him civies and go up and see him for a day. He did say that he thinks he knows Ben, but without a last name, can be sure. I'll send you a private message with our last name.
Hi Lelia~It just seems like yesterday that you were getting ready for this event and I was just beginning this venture. Amber has BS tomorrow night. We will get our call while we are driving. I am looking forward to seeing her again. We are taking three cameras!!! How is Ben liking CA. Do you think he will come home, well wait he will have to. He will have to sign in with his unit. LOL
How was the DVD? I have read that the sailors coming in was not represented on the DVD much. I agree with others that would be the best part of graduation. Amber is staying in GL for hospital corpsmen. Almost 5 more days. It just seems like it was 5 weeks, now we are counting days. They say the hospital corpsmen is fast pace. In 14 weeks they learn what a LPN learns in one year.
I haven't spoken with Matt since last Friday, UGH! I hope he gets the cell phone I sent soon so I can here his voice again. He did say that he had a financial class, but that's all. AND he'd been sick for 4 days. It would be cool if our sons know each other; what another great connections for us moms, huh?
Hi Lelia~I am not packed but I am a light packer so it won't take me long. Please keep that snow there. I think we are only to get rain. We had a record Wednesday of 79. This weather is crazy, no wonder people are so sick.
I am so excited I can't stand it. I have not been very productive at all at work. 7 MORE DAYS. This time next week I will be in the stands. I hope I don't hurt anyone getting to my daughter LOL.

Nice to meet you, Lelia. I'll ask Matt if he knows Ben (of course, they all know each other by last name, so I'll tell him when he PIR'd, etc.) Other than a personal finance class, Matt hasn't classed-up yet. He said they're waiting for a total of at least 15 to start classes, and there's only 6 trainees there right now waiting for classes, so it could be a few weeks. When is Ben's estimated graduation date? I'm only 2 1/2 hours away by car and plan to visit Matt when he has liberty. If we can hook up with Ben, he's more than welcomed to join us if he "wants to get away."
