Hey Nikky, it been a long long time. Almost to the year when your boys left for boot camp. My of my what a hear has done. How is your son chris?? how did your daughter hand all this. How is the new bride? Most of all how is MOM!! Things here have grown leaps and bounds. Nate is still seeing the girl that dumped him an hour before boot camp. (still pisses me off but I have to ge t over it) But we get along really well and jsut never talk about that. they are making plans. kids by this age..marrieage before kids..*L* her masters by this and his rank by that..dont have the heart to tell them the best laid plans go aray. oh well. I hope you all doing good and kris and brie are doing good. Hugs..tlak to you later. Wendy
I think Chris and my son have crossed paths in Buds.Somewhere in Class 274-277. Mine is heading to corpmen training after some unknown to me incedent at the end of land phase. He wasn't to happy but claims he will return to the course in the future??? Unfortunately he is back to Great Lakes for another winter.(I find it kinda funny) I wish Chris the best he find a New calling before long.
So glad your daughter is ok. That happened to my son, he came home on leave in April 08, bought a car. He and my husband drove it back to Goose Creek, SC. 3 days after he made the 1st payment, a DUI driver rearended him, pushed him into another DUI driver and 2 other cars. The air bags deployed so fast that he had 2nd degree burns on his wrist which is scarred. The guy was trying to blame it on him, but there were alot of witnesses.
Hey you...I haven't talked with you in a long time. How are things? My son got rolled to Class 277... having problems with "Drown Proofing", oh well. I'm sorry to hear about Chris & Bi...that sucks :(
That's good to hear! I am glad that he will be able to "get back in the saddle" soon! Ethan is pretty happy at NAS Jax, but he is thinking he is wanting to get married...and he only started dating her after Christmas! Needless to say, I am nervous about the whole thing. He has to go to C school soon (doesn't know for sure when), and I don't want her down there, away from the family she knows, while he is in Texas for 10 weeks. I'd think she would get awfully lonesome.
How are the migraines? Have they made any progress on those? I get horrible allergy headaches, sometimes they go to migraines...it's just awful. I know something of what he goes through. That will be cool if he can retest for the seals...he'll be a triple threat...Navy...RSS...SEAL. Wow!
Hey, Nikky!
When does Chris arrive in P'cola? Hope to see you on the chat there soon! I am sure he will do great as a rescue swimmer! It's a very important job, in my opinion. He's a hero in every sense of the word...
My son has made it to Pensacola, he says it is boring and could be up to two months before they "class up" Where is Chris? He said there were a lot of 276 guys there and they try to move the BUDS guys along. My son was able to come home between San Diego and Pensacola, but was a very tragic time. He arrived home on a Wed, went skateboarding on Thurs with his best friend who fell and hit his head, his friend died on Friday and we buried him on Sunday then Ryan left for Pensacola on Monday. I am so worried about him. To see his buddy die like that was horrible and I don't think he has any support in Pensacola. I asked him to ask around the base for help but he won't. Any suggestions?
Ha well my hubby has been there since the 20th of this month! He just got there really! My hubby has explained this classing up thing a bunch of times! But I understood it better when I read this discussion on the group click on the link below:
Make sure to read the whole thing there is lots of good info! Look at the groups I have on my page I think I have like 3 groups that apply to u and ur Sailor!
Ohhh geee I am sorry to hear that!
Thanx! Has Chris gotten better? I know he was sick. This Rescue Swimmer stuff is more complicated to understand like I mean the process! The schooling and all! Cause it is broken up into little pieces but long! Like 5 weeks here then they put them on hold and on and on! Okie! Well have a great day!
Hey wow, so ur son is going to Rescue Smwimmer too! KEvin and Chriss were in the same BUDS class my hubby just got to Pensacola on the 20th of this month! Good luck too him!
you need to come to the P'cola site, Nikky! Great bunch of gals there! Ethan finished up there last Thursday, but they've said I can hang around anyway, lol!
just got off the phone! He is coming HOME! Yeah! just for a week, only four days here then four days in NJ with his girlfriend. He got his orders and doesn't have to report to Pensacola until the 4th of May and they are cutting him lose on Wed from San Diego! Yeah! I can't tell you how happy I am! Hopefully the same fate will be for Chris too!
Nikky,
Heard from the warm-hearted friends that Chris is going for Rescue Swimmer...Bravo Zulu! That is terrific! Hope that you and yours are all doing fine! Write back and keep us posted! The pictures are fantastic!
Nikky, I think Ry signed up for the same thing. He is going to Penesecola he said in mid May. Rescue Swimmer I think is what it is in aviation? Still trying to learn about it all. Ry mentioned he may want to try again for SEALS in a few years but wasn't ready for it now to give it a go again! I'm so glad they both landed and seem to have picked a path! Wouldn't it be funny if they were in the same group?
Hi darlin', got caught up on everything and wanted to tell you that my thoughts are with you and C. I'm hoping that things work out for him, especially after all of the hard work he has put in - that's something to be extremely proud of. Keep us posted, and hang in there. Big hugs!
Dear Nikky, I tried to comment, but got the message that you've chosen to moderate, so I don't know if you got it or not. Anyway, Tanya54 informed me of your son's med-drop. I'm so sorry to hear the news. My son was also med-dropped so we know the pain it brings. Comment back or PM me if you need a supportive ear. I'll be keeping you all in thought and prayer.
Hi, Nikky I was out in SD last week visiting my med-dropped SEAL. While I was away, Tanya 54 sent me a PM about your boy. I am so sorry to hear the bad news. Please get in touch if you need a supportive "ear". It's a tough turn in the road, but as hard as it is right now, I firmly believe that the turn will lead our boys down a new path that will be the right one for them. We just can't see that right now. Even if I don't hear from you, know that I'll be keeping you and your son in a special prayer place.
