yeah, I feel bad for the men/women on that ship! I went down to pick my husband up last month and was stuck waiting at the visitors center parking lot for 2 hours b/c some guys left late for school so they knocked off 4 hours of Liberty time! There's always SOMETHING going on there!! When does your son grad BECC? My husband does on Friday.
Hello! I don't believe we did meet at PIR.....afterwards, I thought oh shoot, there were some I didn't get to meet. How did it go? Wasn't it exciting seeing our sons? My son has a rescue swimmer contract and will be going to Pensacola on this coming Wednesday. I think most of the other Moms on here that are in our division have sons with seal contracts - except for bfjnavy1994 and Tammy (Aubrey's Mom).
I was in Norman until July and then moved back to Arizona after KP left for BC in GL. He walked into this with a SEAL contract so since he probably PIR'd 8/21/09 or the latest 8/28/09- his dad would not share the actual date- he should be in his Pre-BUDS as of 8/31/09. KP was 4/Div275 but I'm sure that he classed up with another for Pre-BUDs. He was in GL last week- per his texting to his friends in Norman and was bored wating for his training to begin- but he was doing some R&R in Chicago too. Not a bad place to be bored right? I will be back in OK for work at Edmond Hospital and possibly with a doc in Tulsa- Interventional Radiologist for spine surgery- so I hope to hook up with the Oklahoma N4Ms too. I lived in Norman for 6 years before moving to AZ and went back alot for KP and for work and friends. I moved back for KPs last year of HS and then he left for the USN. I thank your son for his commitment and service to our nation and I salute you mom for raising an extraordinary young man. Mo in AZ AZOKmom
Thanks for the info. I heard we can also visit the base after grad. as long as our sailor is with us....Hope so.. My son is in 4/div842... Is your son?
Hell Week is Week #4, but as Robby told me...its not that bad... no different really than any other week, alot of go, go, go and exams...but not bad!!! BS is the week directly of or prior to Graduation. Grad & Go he should be able to tell you via phone @ weel #4, it is usually the first 2 divisions in any TG (Training Group)
