Hi shanta,
My son was in Great Lakes, then Pensacola FL, now Norfork Virgina.
I'm waiting to get his address from him. I did hear from him when he arrived, but he was not station at a stable area yet. He said he would get back with me when he can. I know we sometimes want to know right away, but i guess they are so busy that they sometimes loose track of time. But God is going to keep us all the way through this. Shanta how long is your son going to be in for. Ben wants to retire in there. He was going for avation, then pilot, then special opp. ???????
Who knows as long as he picks the right one for him and achive what ever it is he was striving for, and make me PROUD.
Peace Shanta.

I'm sorry to hear that I kind of heard that last nite but did not pay much attention to it because he said that he would tell you. Well, I will keep him in my prayers and just remember we were young once and we thought we knew it all until we found out differently.. We try to spare our children from unneccessary heartache but unfortunately they want to learn for themselves. Continue to pray even though you don't agree with what he did you must pray for them as a family now.

Hi Shanta,
My name is Darnella McBride, I am a new navy mom. my son is Benjamin, he graduated in Nov.2008. just wanted to introduce myself, and get to know some of the moms on the site. Everyone sounds so nice and have a lot of positive things to say. I just wanted to say may God bless you and your family and love ones that are in the navy, and may he keep his protective arms around all of the young men and women who enlisted in the navy.

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

they don't know much about anything. I know it hurts as a parent when you know they are making a wrong move and you want to prevent it from happening but hey what can we do. You did the best that you could do and the rest is up to him. Who knows it may not come to pass just keep praying for God to give him wisdom and some insight into this situation. He has not said I DO yet. God is an on time God just wait it ain't ova till God say's its ova. Be encouraged.

well, unfortunatey we can't tell them what to do but we can offer our opinion and suggestions to them and we can always pray for them. just remember he is always going to be your son and if it doesn't work out for him just be there for him to support him. princeton told me they were separated but they still have their phones.
